Quantum steps in hysteresis loops

Physics Letters A, 1998
Abstract We numerically demonstrate that the response of a damped quantum particle in a bistable potential to a strong time-dependent force exhibits steps at some specific values of the force. They can be associated with avoided level crossings in the spectrum of the undamped and parametrically tilted, static system and are accompanied by a ...

Microstructure and Hysteresis Loop

2012
This chapter will discuss the micromagnetic simulation of hysteresis loops or M–H loops of magnetic thin films, based on their microstructures. The practical thin films in magnetic recording industry are all polycrystalline; therefore the microstructure of a thin film has multi-scales, such as defects, crystal grains, grain boundary, atomic symmetries ...

Quantum steps in hysteresis loops

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1997
We are studying bistable quantum systems coupled to a thermal environment and driven by a strong external force. Thermal and quantum effects on the switching hysteresis are studied numerically by evaluating a time-dependent real-time double path-integral with the recently developed iterative tensor multiplication scheme for the Quasi-adiabatic path ...

The Display of Hysteresis Loops

1965
In the display of the hysteresis loop of magnetic material the magnetic induction B is represented as a function of the field force H.

A quasistatic hysteresis loop tracer

Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1968
An instrument is described, designed for quasistatic tracing of hysteresis loops of ferroelectric capacitors. The instrument is equipped with circuits for compensation of insulation resistance and of the linear component of the capacitance of the ferroelectric sample; compensation of external spurious leakage currents is also provided for.
