Improvement in thrust force estimation of solenoid valve considering minor hysteresis loop

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
Solenoid valve is a very important hydraulic actuator for an automatic transmission in terms of shift quality. The same form of pressure for the clutch and the input current are required for an ideal control.

Optimizing the Jiles-Atherton Model of Hysteresis by a genetic algorithm

open access: yes, 2001
Modeling magnetic components for simulation in electric circuits requires an accurate model of the hysteresis loop of the core material used. It is important that the parameters extracted for the hysteresis model be optimized across the range of ...

Distorted hysteresis loop with normal round

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
Distorted hysteresis loops with normal round may occur when out-of-plane measurements are performed for film samples by using two-coils vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM).

Theoretical Investigation of State Bistability Between Pure- and Mixed-Mode States in a 1550-nm VCSEL Under Parallel Optical Injection

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Based on the spin-flip model, state bistability (SB) between pureand mixed-mode states in a 1550-nm vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser under parallel optical injection is theoretically investigated. The simulated results show that two types of SB can

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.
