Properties of dynamic magnetic loss of ferrite

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
The B-H loop of ferrite becomes narrower with a decrease in the excitation frequency. However, even at frequencies lower than 1 kHz, the B-H loop exhibits a certain minimum width, which is referred to as the (DC) hysteresis loop, and its area corresponds

Magnetic domains and unusual hysteresis loops of yttrium iron garnet crystals revealed by magneto-optic effects

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
I present a magneto-optic effect study of magnetic domains in a ferrimagnetic yttrium iron garnet crystal at different stages of a hysteresis loop. By measuring the Faraday effect in response to the out-of-plane component and Kerr effects to the in-plane

Electrode free hysteresis loop measurement of small dimensional ferroelectric materials

open access: yes, 2022
As the basic characterization for ferroelectric material, hysteresis loop measurement based on Sawyer-Tower circuit has restrictions of electrodes, parallel plate capacitor structure and complex compensating circuit, which cannot satisfy the demand for ...

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Magnetization hysteresis loop of NPs.

open access: yes, 2016
The room-temperature magnetization (M) hysteresis loop curves of the same mass of [Fe3O4@Au] NPs and FITC/FA@[Fe3O4@Au] NPs as a function of applied magnetic field (H).

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Incorporation of Selenium into Sol–Gel‐Derived Bioactive Glass: Influence on Glass Structure, Bioactivity, and its Selective Cytotoxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Selenium was incorporated into a sol–gel‐derived bioactive glass to enable sustained therapeutic ion release. The selenium‐containing glass preserved bioactivity while selectively inducing cytotoxicity in osteosarcoma cells and maintaining osteoblastic viability.

A mechanical brake hardware-in-the-loop simulation of a railway vehicle that accounts for hysteresis and pneumatic cylinder dynamics

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2015
A brake hardware-in-the-loop simulation system for a railway vehicle provides an effective platform for testing the braking performance under various dangerous braking conditions.

Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Nanocrystalline Ni at Multiple Length‐Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Overview of miniaturized in situ SEM fatigue setup and resultant fatigue crack growth data for nanocrystalline Ni. The presented study focuses on the analysis of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in focused ion beam‐notched microcantilevers prepared from nanocrystalline (NC) Ni as a model material.

The influence of yarn production and processing variables on loop distortion in plain knit fabrics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
After reviewing past work into the geometry of the symmetrical idealised plain knit loop, an account is given of the present knowledge of loop distortion, which represents one of the major problem areas of the knitting industry.
