Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

Dissipation mechanisms identification of soft hollow particle-dampers in honeycomb structures for micro-vibrations environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Particle dampers are enclosures partially filled with metallic or glass small spheres, attached to the vibrating structure. This paper deals with replacing hard classical particles by soft hollow ones to maximize damping and mass ratio. Hence, one aspect

A Deep Neural Network Based Model for a Kind of Magnetorheological Dampers

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In this paper, a deep neural network based model for a set of small-scale magnetorheological dampers (MRD) is developed where relevant parameters that have a physical meaning are inputs to the model.

SPICE‐Compatible Compact Modeling of Cuprate‐Based Memristors Across a Wide Temperature Range

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A physics‐guided compact model for YBCO memristors is introduced, incorporating carrier trapping, field‐induced detrapping, and a differential balance equation to describe their switching dynamics. The model is compared with experiments and implemented in LTspice, allowing realistic circuit‐level simulations.

Combined rings and horizontal steel pipe as hysteretic dampers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A new combined rings and horizontal steel pipe as hysteretic dampers for seismic resistant steel structures have been developed. Simulation studies for various models of the dampers have been carried out under cyclic shear loadings.

Hysteretic tuned mass dampers for structural vibration mitigation

open access: yes, 2014
The hysteresis exhibited by short steel wire ropes is shown to lend itself as an effective restoring force for nonlinear monodirectional tuned mass dampers.

Exploiting Ferroelectric and Spintronic Dynamics for Neural Network Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric and spintronic devices, relying on the control of polarization and magnetization, offer intrinsically fast, durable, energy‐efficient, and low‐latency building blocks for analog in‐memory computing. The hysteretic dynamics of an order parameter are leveraged to provide nonvolatile, multistate memory and nonlinear switching. Brain‐inspired
