SPICE‐Compatible Compact Modeling of Cuprate‐Based Memristors Across a Wide Temperature Range

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A physics‐guided compact model for YBCO memristors is introduced, incorporating carrier trapping, field‐induced detrapping, and a differential balance equation to describe their switching dynamics. The model is compared with experiments and implemented in LTspice, allowing realistic circuit‐level simulations.

Bouc-Wen model of hysteretic damping

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2017
Abstract In this work we consider the dynamics of a mechanical system under external force with a damping part taking into account the hysteretic nature of the damper. As a mathematical base of the hysteretic damper we use the Bouc-Wen model. The simulation results in the form of the force-transfer function and demonstrates the “efficiency” of the ...

Exploiting Ferroelectric and Spintronic Dynamics for Neural Network Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric and spintronic devices, relying on the control of polarization and magnetization, offer intrinsically fast, durable, energy‐efficient, and low‐latency building blocks for analog in‐memory computing. The hysteretic dynamics of an order parameter are leveraged to provide nonvolatile, multistate memory and nonlinear switching. Brain‐inspired

Cooptimized Sensing and Sole Mechanics Enable Embodied‐Intelligence Design of User‐Specific Smart Footwear

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
An embodied codesign framework for smart footwear is presented, jointly tuning lattice mechanics and sensing for personalized plantar pressure monitoring. By integrating pneumatic sensing within 3D‐printed lattice soles, the system achieves accurate real‐time centre‐of‐pressure tracking with reduced sensor count and energy demand, demonstrating how ...

Dynamic Calibration of DEM Simulations Using Rotating Drum Experiments Using the Mean Absolute Error

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
Calibrating DEM simulations is challenging due to unknown microscopic parameters. Rotating drum experiments are combined with image‐based analysis and Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS). An area‐based Mean Absolute Error (MAE) enables reliable identification of optimal parameter sets.

Quasi-static cyclic behavior of wire rope isolators: comprehensive experimental study and improved mathematical modeling

open access: yesHeliyon, 2022
Wire rope isolators (WRI) effectively isolate shocks and vibrations, making them an ideal choice for many industries, including military and aerospace. A sizeable experimental program was conducted to investigate the cyclic hysteretic behavior of WRIs in

Seismic Performance and Vibration‐Based Damage Identification of Two‐Storey Balloon‐Framed CLT Shear Walls

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While cross‐laminated timber (CLT) is increasingly utilized in lateral force‐resisting systems in mass timber construction, research has predominantly focused on platform‐type construction. Balloon‐type CLT shear wall systems offer distinct structural advantages, notably the elimination of cumulative perpendicular‐to‐grain compression and a ...
