A population-based study of social demographic factors, associated diseases, and herpes zoster ophthalmicus in Taiwan

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine
IntroductionHerpes zoster ophthalmicus (HZO) occurs due to the reactivation of latent varicella-zoster virus (VZV) and is characterized by the involvement of the ophthalmic branch of the trigeminal nerve.

Wake-up-free properties and high fatigue resistance of HfxZr1−xO2-based metal–ferroelectric–semiconductor using top ZrO2 nucleation layer at low thermal budget (300 °C)

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2022
Ferroelectricity and crystallinity of TiN/ZrO2/HfxZr1−xO2 (Hf:Zr = 0.43:0.57; HZO)/SiO2/Si metal–ferroelectric–semiconductor (MFS) capacitors with a top ZrO2 nucleation layer fabricated by low-temperature processes at 300 °C of atomic layer deposition ...

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

Synthesis and Fabrication of Hafnium Zirconium Oxide (HZO) /P(VDF-TrFE) Flexible Piezoelectric Composite Films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
This paper presents the synthesis and fabrication of Hafnium zirconium oxide/Polyvinylidene Fluoride-Trifluoroethylene (HZO/P(VDF-TrFE)) flexible piezoelectric films. Metallo-organic decomposition method from a low-toxicity chemical solution was used for

Cryogenic Ferroelectricity of HZO With an Aluminum Oxide Interlayer

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Electron Devices
In this work, we investigate the cryogenic performance of hafnia-based ferroelectric capacitors with and without an aluminum oxide (ALO) interlayer, comparing conventional metal-ferroelectric-metal (MFM) structures to metal-ferroelectric-insulator-metal (MFIM) counterparts.

Historical Foundation and Practical Guideline for Ferroelectric Switching Kinetic Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The P and U pulses in the conventional PUND measurements are not identical because of the interplay between switching current and the measurement circuit components. This circuit effect can lead to a shift in polarization transients and misinterpreted physics in the switching kinetics.

Phylogenetic analysis of representative Hzo protein sequences deduced from obtained Bohai Sea hzo gene sequences.

open access: yes, 2013
The tree branch distances represent amino acid substitution rate, and the scale bar represents the expected number of changes per homologous position. The cluster 2 Hzo sequence (GenBank accession CAJ70788) was used as outgroup.

Phase field modeling of domain dynamics and polarization accumulation in ferroelectric HZO [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2019
In this work, we investigate the accumulative polarization (P) switching characteristics in ferroelectric (FE) thin films under the influence of sequential sub-coercive electric-field pulses. Performing the dynamic phase-field simulation (based on time-dependent Landau-Ginzburg model) and experimental measurement on Hf0.4Zr0.6O2 (HZO), we analyze the ...
