Geochemical data as a tool for estimation of mineralization potential in the Hanar granitoids as part of Tertiary plutonism in Lut block (East of Iran) [PDF]
Hanar intrusion located in 155 km South of Birjand in the east of Lut block and compositionally consist of tonalite, granodiorite, quartz-diorite and diorite that intruded as stock and dikes in volcanic sequence (basic to intermediate) outcropped in this

Our petrochemical studies on ~1.2 Ga granitoids of the Natal Metamorphic Belt, South Africa, do not suggest any property similar to Phanerozoic‐style subduction‐related granitoids. Plot of Kotongweni Tonalite in Y versus Sr diagram (after Moyen 2011), note that most samples have Sr/Y < 50.

PETROLOGY AND RADIOACTIVITY OF EL MAGAL GRANITOID ROCKS, QENA-SAFAGA ROAD, CENTRAL EASTERN DESERT, EGYPT [PDF]
The present work deals with the granitoid rocksof GabalEl Magal (35km2) which located along Qena-Safaga road, central Eastern Desert of Egypt. Petrographically, the studied granites are composed essentially of perthite, quartz, plagioclase and ...

Petrography, thermobarometry, and pseudosection modelling reveal peak metamorphic conditions of 3–7.5 kbar and 520°C–800°C in Tonian‐Cryogenian orthogneisses of the Dom Feliciano Belt. Metamorphic field gradients of 27°C/km–39°C/km and variable exhumation mechanisms support correlation of these units as remnants of a Himalayan‐type Piratini Orogeny ...

ABSTRACT This study shows an innovative approach to determine the origin of some Calabrian rocks quarried used in ancient times. Twenty‐five quarries, distributed in all the Calabrian provinces (Southern Italy), were studied and sampled. Ten samples were taken from each quarry, for a total of 250 samples.

Appraisal of Six Natural Mica Reference Materials for In Situ Rb‐Sr Geochronology
Key Points Evaluated six natural mica reference materials for in situ LA‐ICP‐MS/MS Rb‐Sr geochronology using geochemical, microstructural and isotopic characterisation. Identified robust primary reference materials: Mount Dromedary biotite (99.37 Ma) and Mica‐Fe biotite (307.75 Ma). La Posta biotite and Högsbo muscovite are suitable secondary reference

The Late Miocene (11.6–9.5 Ma) granitoid intrusion on the island of Serifos (Western Cyclades, Aegean Sea) is composed of syn- to post-tectonic granodiorite with quartz monzodiorite enclaves, cut by dacitic and aplitic dikes. The granitoid, a typical I-type metaluminous calcic amphibole-bearing calc-alkaline pluton, intruded the Cycladic Blueschists ...
