Chlorinated auxins–how does Arabidopsis thaliana deal with them?

open access: yes, 2020
Plant hormones have various functions in plants and play crucial roles in all developmental and differentiation stages. Auxins constitute one of the most important groups with the major representative indole-3-acetic acid (IAA). A halogenated derivate of

Non‐canonical AUX/IAA protein IAA33 competes with canonical AUX/IAA repressor IAA5 to negatively regulate auxin signaling

open access: yesEMBO Journal, 2019
The phytohormone auxin controls plant growth and development via TIR1‐dependent protein degradation of canonical AUX/IAA proteins, which normally repress the activity of auxin response transcription factors (ARFs).

The Diversity of Soil Functional Microbes in Pineapple Rhizosphere on Various Levels of Productivity

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Pertanian Indonesia, 2020
Functional microbes of rhizosphere play important roles in nutrient transformation and controlling disease as well as in supporting plant growth and development. However, there is no study on the role of functional microbes on pineapple productivity. The

Mycorrhiza stimulates root-hair growth and IAA synthesis and transport in trifoliate orange under drought stress

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Root-hair growth and development regulated by soil microbes is associated with auxin. In this background, we hypothesized that mycorrhizal fungal inoculation induces greater root-hair growth through stimulated auxin synthesis and transport under water ...

The Effects of the Endophytic Bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens Sasm05 and IAA on the Plant Growth and Cadmium Uptake of Sedum alfredii Hance

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2017
Endophytic bacteria have received attention for their ability to promote plant growth and enhance phytoremediation, which may be attributed to their ability to produce indole-3-acetic acid (IAA).

Ultra‐Thin Soft Pneumatic Actuation for Minimally Invasive Neural Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Parylene C is a common polymer in bioelectronics, favored for its biological and chemical inertness. However, this makes bonding layers of Parylene C together very challenging. Here it is a laser to selectively weld layers of Parylene C to create high‐pressure fluidic actuation devices.

Gibberellin And IAA Production by Rhizobacteria From Various Private Forest

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environment, 2019
Rhizobacterium is a bacterium that colonizes plant roots, known to produce gibberellin and Indol Acetic Acid (IAA) to spur plant growth. This study aims to isolate rhizobacteria from various stands of community forest and to know the ability of ...

Indole‐3‐Propionic Acid Improves Alveolar Development Impairment via Targeting VAMP8‐mediated SNAREs Complex Formation in Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study aims to evaluate the impact of the tryptophan‐derived metabolite indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) on lung development and autophagic flux. IPA alleviates hyperoxia‐induced alveolar arrest by promoting autophagosome‐lysosome fusion via inhibition of VAMP8 phosphorylation, which is suggestive of a promising therapeutic target of BPD.

Clinical Utility and Outcome Prediction of Early ZnT8-IgG Testing and Titer in Type 1 Diabetes

open access: yesJCRPE, 2023
INTRODUCTION: Type 1 diabetes autoantibodies are directed against multiple antigens including: glutamic acid decarboxylase, protein tyrosine phosphatase-like islet antigen 2 (IA2), insulin (IAA), and Zinc transporter 8 protein (ZnT8).
