Guiding the Formation of Surface‐Confined 2D Metal–Organic Coordination Networks by Variation of Constituent Landing Energy in Electrospray Deposition of an Iron(II) Grid Complex

Electrospray ion beam deposition (ES‐IBD) of an Fe(II) [2 × 2] grid complex onto Ag(111) reveals landing energy‐dependent fragmentation and self‐assembly. At higher landing energies, novel coordination networks emerge. This study highlights the unique potential of ES‐IBD in creating diverse metal–organic architectures on surfaces.

General and central obesities were associated with increased risk of inflammatory bowel disease: A large‐scale prospective cohort study

Prior evidence suggested inconsistent findings in terms of the relationship between obesity and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) occurrence. We demonstrated that both general and central obesities were associated with an increased risk of developing IBD, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's disease in a large‐scale prospective cohort.

Cellular Stress, Inflammation and Barrier Damage in Gut Epithelial Cells Caused by Aspartame

This study shows that aspartame, at dietary‐relevant doses, induces cytotoxicity, cellular distress associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress, oxidative stress, DNA replication and repair mechanism disturbance culminating in epithelial barrier damage.
