Private Equity and Local Public Finances
ABSTRACT We study the economic impact of private equity (PE) investments on local governments, which are important corporate stakeholders. Examining over 11,000 deals and private firm data in Europe, we document that target firms' effective tax rates and total tax expenses decrease by 15% and 13% after PE deals.

In-band full-duplex (IBFD) is a promising technology for improving spectral efficiency beyond 5G and 6G. The dynamic duplex cellular (DDC) system has been proposed as a method for the phased introduction of IBFD into cellular systems while maintaining ...

Design Optimization of Feeding Networks with a Special Size for Self‐Interference Cancellation
This letter introduces an effective self‐interference cancellation (SIC) for improving isolation between transmit (Tx) ports and receive (Rx) ports of an in‐band full‐duplex antenna with feeding networks (FNs). A significant isolation improvement is realized by replacing the traditional FNs of the antenna with SICFNs.

The OMC, Intelligent Accountability and the Monitoring of National Tax Authorities
EU governance is not straightforward. Novel supranational methods of checking compliance with the panoply of EU Membership responsibilities therefore are needed. The open method of co‐ordination (OMC) – inappropriately named given that ‘coordination’ is at best the result of second order effects – is one such example of a distinctly supranational ...

Policy Change in Times of Politicization: The Case of Corporate Taxation in the European Union*
Abstract EU corporate tax policy has long consisted solely in eliminating fiscal barriers. This changed after the financial and Eurozone crises when the European Commission proposed ‘market‐correcting’ provisions to increase tax transparency and ‘fairness’, which were partially adopted by the Council. Analyses of EU responses to the crisis have largely

We propose a new lazy learning‐based cancellation approach to improve spectral efficiency for current wireless communication systems, suppress self‐interference (SI) sent from base stations, and enable in‐band full‐duplex (IBFD) transmissions in cellular networks.

Deployment Scheme of In-Band Backhaul Base Station in Heterogeneous Network [PDF]
To address network interference caused by different duplex modes of small base stations in heterogeneous dense cellular network, this paper proposes a deployment scheme of In-Band Full Duplex (IBFD) base stations.Firstly,an optimal model for IBFD base ...

Throughput‐Oriented Full‐Duplex Cognitive Radio Network Parameter Optimization
Full‐duplex cooperative spectrum sensing (FD‐CSS) is an important research field in the field of spectrum sensing. In the FD‐CSS network, the secondary user (SU) senses the usage status of the authorized spectrum by the primary user (PU) through the sensing channel and then reports the perceived data to the fusion center (FC) through the reporting ...
