Assessment of real-life creativity: The Inventory of Creative Activities and Achievements (ICAA).
Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts, 2018This article introduces the Inventory of Creative Activities and Achievements (ICAA), a broad-based assessment of individual differences in real-life creativity. The ICAA provides independent scales for the frequency of engagement in everyday creative activity and the level of creative achievement across 8 creative domains. A formal test analysis based

Biofilms are complex bacterial structures protected by a self-produced polymer matrix that enables survival in hostile environments. Biofilms are more resistant to antibiotics than their planktonic counterparts and are therefore more difficult to eradicate.

In ocular infections (OIs) caused by Staphylococcus epidermidis, biofilms composed mainly of poly-N-acetylglucosamine (PNAG) have been widely studied, but PNAG-independent biofilms have not. Therefore, we searched for a relationship between the ica operon (involved in PNAG-biofilm) and the biochemical composition of biofilms in isolates from OI ...

Determine some of the virulent factors for isolates of Staphylococcus aureus by using a gene (icaA)
Journal of Health and BiologyIdentifying the icaA gene in S. aureus isolates and assessing biofilm development using the PCR method were the goals of this investigation. The study included 20 S. aureus isolates sourced from patients with wound infections and other instances. The catalase, motility, coagulase, and growth on mannitol. We used salt agar tests to find S. aureus.

Staphylococcus aureus is one of the most significant opportunistic pathogens affecting humans and animals. A key factor in its virulence is its ability to form biofilms, which is mediated by the biosynthesis of the polysaccharide intercellular adhesin and encoded by the icaA gene.

The frequency of mecA and icaA/icaD genes in staphylococci isolated from the ear canal of swimmers
2016BACKGROUND: Staphylococci are the primary causes of external and internal auditory canal infections among other bacterial agents. The ability of disease in staphylococci depend on various virulence factors. The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of mecA genes and slime production in staphylococci isolated from the external auditory ...
