ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Dissociation Behavior of Dislocations in Ice
Dislocations in ice behave very differently from those in other materials due to the very low energies of stacking faults in the ice basal plane. As a result, the dislocations dissociate on the basal plane, from a perfect dislocation into two partial ...

What is Dispensationalism? [PDF]
Many evangelicals and liberals believe that dispensationalism is either downright heresy or close to it. In fact, few years ago, while pastor of a church, a lady in my congregation ask me, “Why is dispensationalism bad?” I asked what provoked her ...

Quantification of segregation dynamics in ice mixtures
(Abridged) The observed presence of pure CO2 ice in protostellar envelopes is attributed to thermally induced ice segregation, but a lack of quantitative experimental data has prevented its use as a temperature probe. Quantitative segregation studies are

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

A Cross-Shaped Slotted Patch Sensor Antenna for Ice and Frost Detection
Beyond data transmission, antennas have recently been utilized as sensors, offering the advantage of reducing hardware requirements and power consumption compared to systems where sensors are separate from antennas.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

It is shown that during 10–10–10–11s, only clusters consisting of 4 or 3 water molecules can statistically form in water. It is shown that Brownian motion in water occurs as a result of collision of ice nanocrystals with Brownian particles.

Some Glorious and Incomparable Promises of the Bible [PDF]
During the first half of World War II General Douglas MacArthur was forced to leave the Philippines in the Pacific Theater by the Japanese. Upon his departure he made a promise to the Philippino people: “I will return.” General MacArthur, through the ...

While abhorrent by any standard, the Nazi medical experimentation has become a core illustration of unethically collected data currently being used in scientific research.1-4 Due to the extremes achieved – near-to sub-zero temperatures in investigating hypothermia and its effect on the body – some medical and scientific researchers have claimed it ...
