A New Guitar Teaching Philosophy A New Guitar Teaching Philosophy

open access: yesActa Universitaria, 2012
In this present work it is given an opinion for a new approach to guitar teaching philosophy in a sufficiently sophisticated way, which surpasses up to now all known looks. With a goal to shed light on this important topic, this work will introduce a new

Low-Cost Multifunctional Assistive Device for Visually Impaired Individuals

open access: yesIEEE Access
Visually impaired individuals face challenges in mobility, object recognition, and text reading. Existing assistive tools provide partial solutions but lack full integration. This paper presents a low-cost, multifunctional assistive device in the form of

The Grounding of an Ice Shelf in the Central Arctic Ocean: A Modeling Experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A numerical ice sheet model was used in a first test towards evaluating the hypothesis that, during a period of large-scale glaciation, an ice shelf emanating from the Barents/Kara Seas grounded across parts of the Lomonosov Ridge to a depth of around ...

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Can we learn from matter creation to solve the $$H_{0}$$ H 0 tension problem?

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
The $$H_{0}$$ H 0 tension problem is studied in the light of a matter creation mechanism (an effective approach to replacing dark energy), the way to define the matter creation rate being of pure phenomenological nature.

Overview of Ice Nucleating Particles

open access: yes, 2017
Ice particle formation in tropospheric clouds significantly changes cloud radiative and microphysical properties. Ice nucleation in the troposphere via homogeneous freezing occurs at temperatures lower than −38°C and relative humidity with respect to ice

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Application of Hollow Glass Microspheres in the Arctic Ocean Would Likely Lead to a Deceleration of Arctic Sea Ice Loss” ‐ A Critique of the Paper by Webster and Warren (2022)

open access: yesEarth's Future
Avoiding the worst effects of global warming requires a multipronged approach including decarbonizing as quickly as possible, adaptation, greenhouse gas removal, and climate intervention.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
