Matrix method for solving linear complex vector functional equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
We give a new matrix method for solving both homogeneous and nonhomogeneous linear complex vector functional equations with constant complex coefficients.

Accident Analysis of Ice Control Operations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Highway maintenance involves all work necessary to assure that the highway system is kept safe, open to traffic, and in proper working order. During winter, the removal of snow and ice from streets, roads, and highways is a major maintenance operation ...

Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...

Peter\u27s Quotation of Joel in Acts 2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Many advocates of preterism, replacement theology and covenant theology often cite Acts 2:16 as support for their interpretation of Scripture. However, I do not believe that Peter’s statements furnish a basis for their conclusions.

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...

Serosurvey of sheep and goats to Chlamydia psittaci in Slovakia during the years 1996-2000

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2001
In the Slovak Republic during the years 1996-2000, total 30 278 blood samples from sheep and 4 756 from goats were examined serologically by the method of a complement fixation.

Matthew 24 and This Generation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The last few months have been a time in which I have been involved in a couple of debates with preterists. Preterism teaches that most, if not all, of the Book of Revelation and the Olivet Discourse (Matt.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Modern Israel\u27s Right to the Land [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The modern state of Israel is under attack like never before since her 1948 founding from all sides throughout the world. Recently a secular Israeli said shortly after this summer’s war (2006) with Hezbollah, “Every year they hate us more.” No matter ...

Cubic ice Ic without stacking defects obtained from ice XVII [PDF]

open access: yesNature Materials, 2020
Amongst the more than 18 different forms of water ice, only the common hexagonal phase and the cubic phase are present in nature on Earth. Nonetheless, it is now widely recognized that all samples of 'cubic ice' discovered so far do not have a fully cubic crystal structure but instead are stacking-disordered forms of ice I (namely, ice Isd), which ...
