Constitutive equations with pressure-dependent rheological parameters for describing ice creep
Experimental data from creep tests on polycrystalline ice samples highlight not only the non-Newtonian behavior of ice but also suggest a critical dependence of the various rheological parameters upon the applied hydrostatic pressure.

Effects of Andrade and Burgers rheologies on glacial isostatic adjustment modeling in Antarctica
Variations in ice mass deform the Earth and modify its gravity field, a process known as Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA). GIA in Antarctica remains poorly constrained due to the cumulative effect of past and present ice-mass changes, the unknown ...

A NETs‐inspired Ti3C2/LDH hydrogel integrates trapping, ROS boosting, and M2‐immunomodulation for MRSA‐infected wound repair. ABSTRACT MRSA infections give rise to chronic cutaneous and advance into profound tissue invasions, including osteomyelitis and sepsis—conditions for which existing clinical interventions offer only limited efficacy. The utility

Breaking the ice: Fracture angles with viscous-plastic sea ice rheologies
Arctic sea ice plays a critical role in the climate system. Therefore it needs to be modeled accurately to make precise climate predictions of the current anthropogenic climate change. Most of today’s climate models simulate sea ice motion using a viscous-plastic (VP) rheology with an elliptical yield curve and a normal flow rule [1].

Optimising ice flow law parameters using borehole deformation measurements and numerical modelling
Internal ice strain rates have been measured along two boreholes drilled through Glacier de Tsanfleuron, Switzerland. Differences between these measurements and the output from a 3D numerical model of glacier motion have been minimized by a scheme that ...

Non-Newtonian ice rheology and the retention of craters on Ganymede [PDF]
Calculations carried out for craters of varying sizes in a medium with constant temperature T = 173 K yield values for the crater relaxation time t sub e (defined as the time required for the crater depth to become 1/e of its original value) that appear ...
