SS-IDS: Statistical Signature Based IDS

open access: yes2009 Fourth International Conference on Internet and Web Applications and Services, 2009
Security of web servers has become a sensitive subject today. Prediction of normal and abnormal request is problematic due to large number of false alarms in many anomaly based Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). SS-IDS derives automatically the parameter profiles from the analyzed data thereby generating the Statistical Signatures.

Dental development in the tropical gar (Atractosteus tropicus) and the evolution of vertebrate dentitions

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Dentitions have diversified enormously during vertebrate evolution, involving reductions, modifications, or allocations to prey seizing and processing regions. A combination of ancient and novel features related to dental and oropharyngeal apparatuses is found in extant lineages of non‐teleost fishes, such as the gars.

GaIn‐Induced Polarization Control in PVDF for High‐Efficiency Energy Harvesting and Instantaneous Wireless Sensing

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study presents a liquid metal–engineered β‐PVDF composite enabling high‐performance piezoelectric–triboelectric nanogenerators. Guided by MD/DFT simulations, GaIn doping promotes β‐phase formation and dipole alignment, while native oxides enhance charge retention.

The Impact of Changes in Real Income and the Real Effective Exchange Rate on Trade in Goods and Services

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We use foreign trade data on both imports and exports of goods and services among a group of 15 advanced economies to determine the incomes and price elasticities of demand for exports and imports of goods, services and goods and services combined in the long run.
