Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

How to 'Orient' a Theory of Justice: Rawls and the Ideal/Non-Ideal Distinction
This thesis deals with two broad questions: (1) “What makes a theory of justice ideal as opposed to non-ideal?”, and (2) “what are the consequences of taking one or the other approach?”.

Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Ideals and their Fitting ideals
AbstractFor an ideal I in a Noetherian ring R, the Fitting ideals $\mathrm{Fitt}_j(I)$ are studied. We discuss the question of when $\mathrm{Fitt}_j(I)=I$ or $\sqrt{\mathrm{Fitt}_j(I)}=\sqrt{I}$ for some j. A classical case is the Hilbert–Burch theorem when $j=1$ and I is a perfect ideal of grade 2 in a local ring.

ON ℐ^𝒦-CONVERGENCE OF SEQUENCES OF BI-COMPLEX NUMBERS
We propose the concept of ℐ^𝒦-convergence of sequences of bi-complex numbers. We explore the fundamental properties of this newly introduced notion and its relationships with other convergence ...
