Photonic switches with ideal switching contrasts for waveguide photons
Physical Review A, 2016Photonic switches are one kind of key devices in quantum optical networks and have been demonstrated previously through either manipulating the cavity-atom interactions [Phys. Rev. Lett. 111, 193601 (2013)] or driving the additional levels of the switch atoms [Phys. Rev. Lett. 106, 113601 (2011)].

Analysis of networks with ideal switches by state equations
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, 1997Summary: A new computer-oriented method for a large-signal time-domain analysis of networks containing ideal switches is presented. The method is based on a state variable approach that exploits an efficient novel algorithm developed for the systematic formulation of state equations and output equations for linear active networks.

Simulation of Ideally Switched Circuits in SystemC
Proceedings of the 26th Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference, 2021Modeling and simulation of power systems at low levels of abstraction is supported by specialized tools such as SPICE and MATLAB. But when power systems are part of larger systems including digital hardware and software, low-level models become over-detailed; at the system level, models must be simple and execute fast.

Unified and non-ideal switch model for analysis of switching circuits
COMPEL - The international journal for computation and mathematics in electrical and electronic engineering, 2021Purpose This paper aims to propose a new unified and non-ideal switch model for analysis of switching circuits. Design/methodology/approach The model has a single unified structure that includes all possible states (on, off) of the switches. The analysis with the proposed switch model requires only one topology and uses the single system equation ...

Multiple outcomes of idealized switching
Proceedings of the 2003 International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003. ISCAS '03., 2003The paper develops a state variable approach to model ideal switching in inconsistent initial conditions circuits. The use of ideal circuit elements and ideal switching simplifies the analysis of switched networks, but often leads to circuits with excess storage elements and with inconsistent initial conditions.

Efforts toward ideal microelectromechanical switches
2017 19th International Conference on Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems (TRANSDUCERS), 2017Since a microelectromechanical (MEM) switch with an electrostatically actuated cantilever was first demonstrated by Petersen in 1978 [1], MEM switches have actively been researched by many research groups. However, comparing with the conventional metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET), MEM switches are still suffering from their ...

Analysis of Switched Capacitor Circuits Based on Unified Ideal Switch Model
2020 2nd Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM), 2020The paper proposes a unified and efficient switch model for analysis of switched capacitor circuits. The switch model depends on ideal switch concept. The model is unique and valid for all states of switches. The developed model is based on modified nodal analysis (MNA). The analysis with the new switch model requires only one topology and uses uniform
