Adaptive multiple switching strategy toward an ideal NoC

2014 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2014
The exigency for heterogeneous many-core systems has brought an exponential growth in the complexity of their interconnections. In this manner, other Network-on-Chip (NoC) alternatives are being sought to attend the requirements in terms of power consumption and performance.

The Ideal Switch® with Advanced Glass Packaging

IMAPSource Proceedings
There has been a lot of work done over the past decade showing the advantages of using glass-based packaging for many microelectronics applications. Much of this work has been motivated by advantages provided by the material properties of glass. As an insulator, packaging enables devices with low electrical loss relative to semiconducting materials ...

Design of Flyback Converter by Using an Ideal Switch and a MOSFET Switch

2018 IEEE Electron Devices Kolkata Conference (EDKCON), 2018
The Flyback Converters have become one of the most popular used buck-boost topology because of their simple design and working efficiency. In this paper, the dynamic models of the flyback converter using two different switches have been compared. One using an ideal switch and other using a MOSFET switch.

An ideal model for switching in thin VO2 films

Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1975
Abstract Analysis of an ideal model, where heat flow is restricted to one direction, results in good qualitative agreement with the current-voltage characteristics observed in materials that exhibit an abrupt increase in electrical conductivity at a critical temperature, such as VO 2 .

Reducing non-idealities on switched-current sigma-delta modulators

Proceedings of the Fourth IEEE International Caracas Conference on Devices, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.02TH8611), 2003
Oversampling /spl Sigma//spl Delta/ A/D and D/A converters based on switched current (SI) cells are an option that offers great advantages when manufactured with digital circuit processes. However, SI suffers from non-idealities that limit the performance of oversampling /spl Sigma//spl Delta/ modulators. This paper presents a conventional second order

A MNA-BASED UNIFIED IDEAL SWITCH MODEL FOR ANALYSIS OF SWITCHING CIRCUITS

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2013
The paper proposes a unified switch model for the analysis of circuits with ideal switches. The model is unique and valid for all states of switches. The developed model is based on modified nodal analysis (MNA) that exploits an efficient algorithm developed for linear active circuits.

Exploring the range of transitions in idealized switched networks

1998 IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems. Surfing the Waves of Science and Technology (Cat. No.98EX196), 2002
The analysis of switched networks becomes conceptually simpler when ideal circuit elements and ideal switching are considered. But this idealization often leads to circuits with excess storage elements and with inconsistent initial conditions. In such cases, a "simultaneous" change in state of a set of switches, a multi-switching, can no longer be ...

Stability of ideal thyristor and diode switching circuits

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, 1995
This paper analyzes the stability of a general RLC circuit with ideal thyristors or diodes and periodic sources. Applications include high power thyristor controlled reactor and bridge rectifier circuits. The periodic steady states of the circuit are analyzed using a Poincare map and transversality conditions are given to guarantee the smoothness of ...

Fuel switching in Harare: An almost ideal demand system approach

Energy Policy, 2007
In urban areas several energy choices are available and the amount of (a given type of) fuel consumed is based on complex household decision processes. This paper analyzes urban fuel (particularly firewood) demand in an energy mix context by means of an Almost Ideal Demand System based on a survey carried out among 500 households in Harare in 2003 ...
