An approach to chaos in some mixed p-spin models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We consider the problems of chaos in disorder and temperature for coupled copies of the mixed p-spin models. Under certain assumptions on the parameters of the models we will first prove a weak form of chaos by showing that the overlap is concentrated ...

Murine cytomegalovirus immediate-early 1 gene expression correlates with increased GVHD after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation in recipients reactivating from latent infection. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
The success of allogeneic (allo) hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is limited by its treatment related complications, mostly graft versus host disease (GVHD) and fungal and viral infections.

Human cytomegalovirus IE1 promoter/enhancer drives variable gene expression in all fiber types in transgenic mouse skeletal muscle

open access: yesBMC Genetics, 2000
Background Versatile transgenic manipulation of skeletal muscle requires knowledge of the expression profiles of diverse promoter/enhancer elements in the transcriptionally specialized fiber types of which muscle is composed.

Inhibition of SUMO-independent PML oligomerization by the human cytomegalovirus IE1 protein

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 2006
In human cytomegalovirus-infected cells, the immediate-early IE1 protein disrupts the subnuclear structures known as the PML oncogenic domains or PODs, via the induction of PML desumoylation. This activity correlates with the functions of IE1 in transcriptional regulation and in the stimulation of lytic infection.

Betaherpesvirus Incidence in Saliva Samples From Patients With Hematological Neoplasms: Frequency, Clinic and Diagnostic Insights

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 98, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Hematological neoplasms (HN) are disorders originating in blood cells that hold significant epidemiological importance. Treatments available for these conditions can induce immunosuppression, and it increases the risk of viral infections and reactivations, mainly by Human betaherpesviruses (HCMV, HHV‐6, and HHV‐7).

Inhibition of human cytomegalovirus immediate early gene expression and growth by a novel RNase P ribozyme variant. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
We have previously engineered new RNase P-based ribozyme variants with improved in vitro catalytic activity. In this study, we employed a novel engineered variant to target a shared mRNA region of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) immediate early proteins 1 ...

The role of IFN-gamma in Humoral immune response for HCMV antigens among pregnant women

open access: yesAl-Kitab Journal for Pure Sciences, 2023
Background: Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is a highly host-specific virus belongs to the β-herpesvirus subfamily, which is a leading cause of congenital infections.

The 89,000-Mr murine cytomegalovirus immediate-early protein activates gene transcription [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
To study trans-activation of gene expression by murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) immediate-early (IE) proteins, the IE coding region 1 (ie1), which encodes the 89,000-Mr IE phosphoprotein (pp89), was stably introduced into L cells.

Poisson structures on loop spaces of $\mathbb{C} P^n$ and an $r$-matrix associated with the universal elliptic curve

open access: yes, 2019
We construct a family of Poisson structures of hydrodynamic type on the loop space of $\mathbb{C} P^{n-1}$. This family is parametrized by the moduli space of elliptic curves or, in other words, by the modular parameter $\tau$.

A Back‐Trace Numerical Method for Calculating the Numerical Solution of the True Total Contributing Area for Real‐World Terrains

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Total Contributing Area (TCA) has been extensively accepted as a crucial terrain attribute in digital terrain analysis and geological simulations. However, existing flow direction algorithms work poorly in the accuracy of TCA estimation due to the irrationality of their empirically designed strategies.
