HNF4G stimulates the development of pancreatic cancer by promoting IGF2BP2 transcription
Clinical and Translational Oncology, 2023Pancreatic cancer is a devastating and lethal malignancy. Our study investigated the effective mechanism of HNF4G on pancreatic cancer cell functions through the IGF2BP2 transcription.HNF4G and IGF2BP2 expressions in pancreatic cancer were examined.

The m6A Reader IGF2BP2 Regulates Macrophage Phenotypic Activation and Inflammatory Diseases by Stabilizing TSC1 and PPARγ [PDF]
Phenotypic polarization of macrophages is regulated by a milieu of cues in the local tissue microenvironment. Currently, little is known about how the intrinsic regulators modulate proinflammatory (M1) versus prohealing (M2) macrophages activation. Here,

IGF2BP2 promotes the progression of colorectal cancer through a YAP-dependent mechanism [PDF]
AbstractTo explore the effect of insulin‐like growth factor 2 mRNA‐binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2) on colorectal cancer (CRC) by recognizing the m6A modification of YAP mRNA thus activating ErbB2 expression. High expressions of IGF2BP2, YAP, and ErbB2 promoted the proliferation, migration and invasion of CRC cells and reduced their apoptosis.

The Diverse Functions of IMP2/IGF2BP2 in Metabolism
Trends in Endocrinology & Metabolism, 2020The human insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) mRNA binding protein family (IMPs/IGF2BPs) is involved in a spectrum of biological processes, including development, tumorigenesis, and stemness. IMPs play a major role in post-transcriptional regulation of RNAs through the ribonucleoprotein complex (RNP).

Dual Role of IGF2BP2 in Osteoimmunomodulation during Periodontitis
Journal of Dental ResearchPeriodontitis is a complex disease characterized by distinct inflammatory stages, with a peak of inflammation in the early phase and less prominent inflammation in the advanced phase. The insulin-like growth factor 2-binding proteins 2 (IGF2BP2) has recently been identified as a new m 6 A ...

IGF2BP2 is Induced by Stress in the Heart and Mediates Dilated Cardiomyopathy
2022Abstract The IGF2BP family of RNA binding proteins consists of three paralogs that regulate intracellular RNA localization, RNA stability, and translational control. Although IGF2BP1 and 3 are oncofetal proteins, IGF2BP2 expression is maintained in many tissues, including the heart, into adulthood.

Quantitative assessment of the variation in IGF2BP2 gene and type 2 diabetes risk
Acta Diabetologica, 2011Insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2 (IFG2BP2) belongs to an mRNA-binding protein family involved in the development and stimulation of insulin action, which has attracted considerable attention as a candidate gene for type 2 diabetes (T2D) since it was first identified through genome-wide association approach.

IGF2BP2 gene polymorphism in patients with morbid obesity
2020Background/Aim: In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between morbid obesity and insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2) rs1470579 and rs4402960 gene polymorphisms. Materials and methods: Data from 100 consecutive patients who underwent surgery due to morbid obesity (MO) and 100 healthy volunteers with normal ...
