Chain-branching explosions in mixing layers
The chain-branching process leading to ignition in the high-temperature hydrogen-oxygen mixing layer is studied by application of a novel WKB-like method when, as is typically the case, two branching radicals cannot be assumed to maintain steady state ...

Operationalizing BioSSbD: A safe‐and‐sustainable‐by‐design framework for biorefineries
Abstract Biorefineries are central to the transition toward a circular bioeconomy; however, their increasing scale and technological heterogeneity, and the integration of biological, chemical, and thermochemical processes introduce complex challenges related to safety, sustainability, and operational reliability. Existing Safe‐and‐Sustainable‐by‐Design

Radiative ignition properties of food grains and surface temperatures at ignition
Fire safety of food grains in storage, transport and processing facilities requires knowledge of their ignition properties some of which have been determined in this study. Cowpea, lentils, millet, soybean, unshelled peanut, flax (linseed), sunflower, shelled peanut and sesame, at 10% moisture content were studied.

ABSTRACT As climate change and environmental deterioration continue to escalate due to substantial CO2 emissions, nations worldwide are implementing approaches to alleviate CO2 emissions and accomplish carbon neutrality (CNE) goals. The current study examined CNE objectives for five selected nations in Africa, spanning from 1990 to 2022.
