The impact of high density receptor clusters on VEGF signaling [PDF]

open access: yesEPTCS 125, 2013, pp. 37-52, 2013
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling is involved in the process of blood vessel development and maintenance. Signaling is initiated by binding of the bivalent VEGF ligand to the membrane-bound receptors (VEGFR), which in turn stimulates receptor dimerization.

Expression of interleukin 2 receptors on activated human B cells. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
Using anti-Tac, a monoclonal anti-interleukin 2 (IL-2) receptor antibody, we have explored the possibility that certain activated B cells display receptors for IL-2.

Pleiotropic Effects of IL-2 on Cancer: Its Role in Cervical Cancer

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 2016
IL-2 receptor (IL-2R) signalling is critical for normal lymphocyte proliferation, but its role in cervical cancer is not fully understood. The receptor is composed of three chains: IL-2α, IL-2β, and IL-2γ.

Cargo binding promotes KDEL receptor clustering at the mammalian cell surface [PDF]

open access: yesSci. Rep. 6, 28940, 2016, 2017
Transmembrane receptor clustering is a ubiquitous phenomenon in pro- and eukaryotic cells to physically sense receptor/ligand interactions and subsequently translate an exogenous signal into a cellular response. Despite that receptor cluster formation has been described for a wide variety of receptors, ranging from chemotactic receptors in bacteria to ...

The IL-2/IL-2 Receptor System. Involvement of a Novel Receptor Subunit, .GAMMA. Chain, in Growth Signal Transduction.

open access: yesThe Tohoku Journal of Experimental Medicine, 1992
We previously demonstrated the existence of a third component, p64, of IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), tentatively named the gamma chain of IL-2R. Our recent studies provided evidence suggesting that the gamma chain endows the beta chain of IL-2R with IL-2 binding ability.

Prostaglandin D2 activates group 2 innate lymphoid cells through chemoattractant receptor-homologous molecule expressed on TH2 cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
BackgroundActivation of the group 2 innate lymphoid cell (ILC2) population leads to production of the classical type 2 cytokines, thus promoting type 2 immunity.

The γc family of cytokines: fine-tuning signals from IL-2 and IL-21 in the regulation of the immune response [version 1; referees: 3 approved]

open access: yesF1000Research, 2017
Interleukin (IL)-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, IL-15, and IL-21 form a family of cytokines based on the sharing of a receptor component, the common cytokine receptor γ chain, γc, which is encoded by the gene mutated in humans with X-linked severe combined ...

Critical role for prokineticin 2 in CNS autoimmunity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Objective: To investigate the potential role of prokineticin 2 (PK2), a bioactive peptide involved in multiple biological functions including immune modulation, in CNS autoimmune demyelinating disease.

The interleukin (IL) 2 receptor beta chain is shared by IL-2 and a cytokine, provisionally designated IL-T, that stimulates T-cell proliferation and the induction of lymphokine-activated killer cells.

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 1994
Late-phase human T-cell lymphotropic virus I-associated adult T-cell leukemia cells express IL-2 receptors (IL-2R) but no longer produce IL-2.

An Empirical Study of Immune System Based On Bipartite Network [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
Immune system is the most important defense system to resist human pathogens. In this paper we present an immune model with bipartite graphs theory. We collect data through COPE database and construct an immune cell- mediators network. The act degree distribution of this network is proved to be power-law, with index of 1.8.
