MET variants with activating N‐lobe mutations identified in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinomas still require ligand stimulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for

Human IL-2 Receptor α Chain Deficiency [PDF]

open access: yesPediatric Research, 2000
Profound cellular immunodeficiency occurs as the result of mutations in proteins involved in both the differentiation and function of mature lymphoid cells. We describe here a novel human immune aberration arising from a truncation mutation of the IL-2 receptor alpha chain (CD25), a subunit of the tripartite high-affinity receptor for IL-2.

Response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in early breast cancers is associated with epithelial–mesenchymal transition and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.

Full-length and N-terminally truncated recombinant interleukin-38 variants are similarly inefficient in antagonizing interleukin-36 and interleukin-1 receptors

open access: yesCell Communication and Signaling
Background Interleukin (IL)-38 is an IL-1 family cytokine that was proposed to exert anti-inflammatory effects. However, its mechanisms of action are not well understood and the identity of the IL-38 receptor(s) remains debated.

EFFECTS OF SYNTETIC CANNABINOID RECEPTOR LIGANDS WIN 55.212-2 AND ANANDAMID UPON IN VITRO ACTIVITY OF IMMUNOCOMPETENT CELLS

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология, 2014
. Ability of cannabinoid receptor ligands WIN 55.212-2 and anandamid to inhibit synthesis of TNFα and IL-8 was studied in healthy donors and men with allergic disorders.

Targeting Human IL-2 Receptors for Diagnosis and Therapy

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1994
The high-affinity interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) is a multichain receptor with at least three IL-2 binding chains: IL-2R alpha (55 kDa) bound by the monoclonal antibody anti-Tac, IL-2R beta (75 kDa) and Il-2R gamma (64 kDa). The IL-2R alpha also exists as a naturally occurring soluble molecule (sIL-2R alpha). We target the IL-2R for immune intervention
