Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Robot-assisted image-guided transcranial magnetic stimulation for somatotopic mapping of the motor cortex: a clinical pilot study.

open access: yes, 2009
Shape and exact location of motor cortical areas varies among individuals. The exact knowledge of these locations is crucial for planning of neurosurgical procedures.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Physics inspired neural network for optical property retrieval from diffuse reflectance

open access: yesFrontiers in Photonics
IntroductionOptical property retrieval in diffuse reflectance imaging, like diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) and hyperspectral imaging (HSI), often involves fitting measured spectra to analytical solutions using approximations such as Diffusion ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Point Projection Mapping System for Tracking, Registering, Labeling, and Validating Optical Tissue Measurements

open access: yesJournal of Imaging
The validation of newly developed optical tissue-sensing techniques for tumor detection during cancer surgery requires an accurate correlation with the histological results. Additionally, such an accurate correlation facilitates precise data labeling for

Prospective Techniques for Magnetic Resonance Imaging–Guided Robot-Assisted Stereotactic Neurosurgery

open access: yes, 2020
Stereotactic neurosurgery involves a technique that can locate the brain targets using an external coordinate system. With the advancements of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), numerous studies on frameless stereotaxy and MRI-guided/verified technique ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Intraoperative ureter identification with a novel fluorescent catheter

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Iatrogenic ureteral injuries (IUI) occur in 0.5–1.3% of cases during abdominal surgery. If not recognized intraoperatively, IUI increase morbidity/mortality. A universally accepted method to prevent IUI is lacking. Near-infrared fluorescent imaging (NIRF)
