Authenticity of digital images
Copyrights are a big issue these days, it is extremely easy to loose our intellectual property (in sense of digital images) and thus money, moreover it is hard to proof our rights in the court. Our digital pictures must be protected in such a manner that it should be easy to proof we are the legitimate owner of the image and it should be ...

Weakening the nuclear envelope: Lamin B receptor in melanoma metastasis
LBR‐driven nuclear fragility supports melanoma invasion. A: Melanocyte presents low LBR (Lamin B Receptor) levels, maintaining nuclear integrity and lamina‐chromatin tethering. B: During malignant progression, upregulation of LBR clusters at the INM (Inner Nuclear Membrane) during confined migration causes local lamina weakening and cholesterol ...

Repairable Image Authentication Scheme
Nowadays, authentication mechanism is widely applied to digital images to verify whether the received image is not a fake. In this paper, we propose a selfauthentication mechanism without any extra data to authenticate whether the area is modified by ...

Semi-Fragile Zernike Moment-Based Image Watermarking for Authentication
We propose a content-based semi-fragile watermarking algorithm for image authentication. In content-based watermarking scheme for authentication, one of the most challenging issues is to define a computable feature vector that can capture the major ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Digital Signature-Based Image Authentication
This chapter is intended to disseminate the concept of digital signature-based image authentication. Capabilities of digital signature-based image authentication and its superiority over watermarking-based approaches are described first.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Multimodal biometrics score level fusion using non-confidence information
Multimodal biometrics refers to automatic authentication methods that depend on multiple modalities of measurable physical characteristics. It alleviates most of the restrictions of single biometrics.
