On Compression of Encrypted Images

2006 International Conference on Image Processing, 2006
Coding schemes for secure and efficient communication over noiseless public channels traditionally compress and then encrypt the source data. In some cases reversing the ordering of compression and encryption would be useful, e.g., in enabling the efficient distribution of protected media content.

Homomorphic image encryption

Journal of Electronic Imaging, 2009
This paper presents a new homomorphic image cryptosystem. The idea of this system is based on encrypting the reflectance component after the homomorphic transform and embedding the illumination component as a least significant bit watermark into the encrypted reflectance component.

A Survey of Image Encryption Algorithms

2021 International Conference on Information Technology (ICIT), 2021
Data and image security is one of the most important aspects of information storage as well as the massive and still expanding internet. The frequent use of images of various types, especially images of documents, requires efficient encryption algorithms to ensure the security and stability of image storage and transmission.

JPEG encryption for image rescaling in the encrypted domain

Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation, 2015
The JPEG encryption protocol is suitable for image rescaling in encrypted domain.Privacy of the original image can be preserved when transmitted to the server. The encrypted JPEG image can be rescaled by the service provider. On the recipient side, the rescaled image can be decrypted with good quality.

Scalable Coding of Encrypted Images

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2012
This paper proposes a novel scheme of scalable coding for encrypted images. In the encryption phase, the original pixel values are masked by a modulo-256 addition with pseudorandom numbers that are derived from a secret key. After decomposing the encrypted data into a downsampled subimage and several data sets with a multiple-resolution construction ...

Optical image encryption topology

Optics Letters, 2009
Optical image encryption topology is proposed based on the principle of random-phase encoding. Various encryption topological units, involving peer-to-peer, ring, star, and tree topologies, can be realized by an optical 6f system. These topological units can be interconnected to constitute an optical image encryption network.

Image denoising in the encrypted domain

2016 IEEE International Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS), 2016
The increasing advance of Cloud-based solutions brings about serious privacy problems when outsourcing images for their processing in untrusted environments. One of the fundamental privacy-aware image manipulations that can be outsourced is denoising, an ubiquitous signal processing primitive with a broad set of applications.

An Image Encryption and Authentication Scheme

2011 Seventh International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Security, 2011
In this paper, a fast image encryption and authentication scheme is presented. In the proposed scheme, a 512-bit message authentication code generated by a keyed hash function is embedded into the image by reversible data embedding technique. Then the embedded image is masked by the pseudo random sequence in feedback mode.
