Structural and mechanistic basis for the regulation of the chloroplast signal recognition particle by (p)ppGpp

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LHCPs are transported to the thylakoid membrane via the (cp)SRP pathway. This process involves a transit complex of (cp)SRP43, (cp)SRP54 and LHCP, which interacts with (cp)FtsY and Alb3 at the membrane. GTP hydrolysis by (cp)SRP54 and (cp)FtsY triggers complex dissociation.

Weighted Direct Nonlinear Regression for Effective Image Interpolation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper proposes a learning-based image interpolation method based on weighted direct nonlinear regression. It attempts to learn the nonlinear relationship between the low-resolution patches and their corresponding high-resolution patches by using an ...

Distinct dysregulated pathways in sporadic and Lynch syndrome‐associated colorectal cancer offer insights for targeted treatment

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 599, Issue 7, Page 1006-1028, April 2025.
This study explores the distinct molecular mechanisms underlying Lynch syndrome‐associated and sporadic colorectal cancer (CRC). By highlighting the therapeutic potential of targeting the PI3K‐Akt pathway in Lynch syndrome‐associated CRC and the Wnt pathway in sporadic CRC, the findings open avenues for personalised treatment strategies, aiming to ...

Image Processing Encryption

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract The aim of this research paper is to develop a new approach of image processing encryption using machine learning techniques in python So that the human cannot understand the images because it is in encrypted form and can be securely transfer to its destination.

Quantifying the Robustness of Vegetation Indices through Global Sensitivity Analysis of Homogeneous and Forest Leaf-Canopy Radiative Transfer Models

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
Vegetation indices (VIs) are widely used in optical remote sensing to estimate biophysical variables of vegetated surfaces. With the advent of spectroscopy technology, spectral bands can be combined in numerous ways to extract the desired information ...

Concept for a CMOS Image Sensor Suited for Analog Image Pre-Processing [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
A concept for a novel CMOS image sensor suited for analog image pre-processing is presented in this paper. As an example, an image restoration algorithm for reducing image noise is applied as image pre-processing in the analog domain. To supply low-latency data input for analog image preprocessing, the proposed concept for a CMOS image sensor offers a ...

Making tau amyloid models in vitro: a crucial and underestimated challenge

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients affected with tauopathies. We discuss the important properties that should be considered when forming amyloids and the benchmarks that should be used to ...

SVD Based Image Processing Applications: State of The Art, Contributions and Research Challenges [PDF]

open access: yes(IJACSA) International Journal of Advanced Computer Science and Applications, Vol. 3, No. 7, 2012 26-34, 2012
Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) has recently emerged as a new paradigm for processing different types of images. SVD is an attractive algebraic transform for image processing applications. The paper proposes an experimental survey for the SVD as an efficient transform in image processing applications.

Unconventional mRNA processing and degradation pathways for the polycistronic yrzI (spyTA) mRNA in Bacillus subtilis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 599, Issue 9, Page 1222-1235, May 2025.
The S1025 peptide is the major antidote to the YrzI toxin, which we renamed here as SpyT (Small Peptide YrzI Toxin) and SpyA (Small Peptide YrzI Antitoxin) (1). Degradation of the toxin–antitoxin spyTA mRNA, either by a translation‐dependent cleavage by the endoribonuclease Rae1 (2) or by direct attack by 3′‐exoribonucleases (3), also contributes to ...
