Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Region-based multimodal image fusion using ICA bases [PDF]
In this paper, we present a novel multimodal image fusion algorithm in the independent component analysis (ICA) domain. Region-based fusion of ICA coefficients is implemented, where segmentation is performed in the spatial domain and ICA coefficients ...

De-ghosting in High Dynamic Range Imaging Based on Intensity Scaling Cue
A High Dynamic Range (HDR) image produced from a sequence of low dynamic range (LDR) images can contain motion artefacts (ghosting) if the scene contains moving objects.

A Hybrid Image Quality Measure for Automatic Image Quality Assessment [PDF]
Automatic image quality assessment has many diverse applications. Existing quality measures are not accurate representatives of the human perception. We present a hybrid image quality (HIQ) measure, which is a combination of four existing measures using an `n' degree polynomial to accurately model the human image perception.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

An assessment model and implementation of stereo image quality [PDF]
In the past decade, many display hardware manufacturers have initiated research into the construction of stereo display devices. Currently, the use of such displays is limited to the computer-aided design; research, military and medical applications ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Study of image characteristics on digital image correlation error assessment [PDF]
In this paper, errors related to digital image correlation (DIC) technique applied to measurements of displacements are estimated. This work is based on the generation of synthetic images representative of real speckle patterns.
