Watermarking for image authentication
Proceedings 1998 International Conference on Image Processing. ICIP98 (Cat. No.98CB36269), 1998A data embedding method is proposed for image authentication based on table look-up in frequency domain. A visually meaningful watermark and a set of simple features are embedded invisibly in the marked image, which can be stored in the compressed form.

A watermark for digital images
Proceedings of 3rd IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2002The growth of networked multimedia systems has magnified the need for image copyright protection. One approach used to address this problem is to add an invisible structure to an image that can be used to seal or mark it. These structures are known as digital watermarks. We describe two techniques for the invisible marking of images.

Reversible watermarking for images
SPIE Proceedings, 2004Reversible watermarking is a technique for embedding data in a digital host signal in such a manner that the original host signal can be restored in a bit-exact manner in the restoration process. In this paper, we present a general framework for reversible watermarking in multi-media signals.

There is an increasing number of products to be saved in digital form. In the digital world, we can preserve products forever, but there are also disadvantages such as easy copying. The watermark is an important protection method in digital media. When a media is publicly available or put on a network, it is very easy to copy or be misappropriated. The

Wavelet Analysis and Its Applications, 2003
A watermarking scheme based on the multi-scale edges of digital image is proposed in this paper. The multi-scale edges are characterized with the dyadic wavelets, which are usually utilized in irregularity or edge detection. The watermarks are embedded into important multi-scale edges.

Directional Watermarks in Images
2005 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005A new watermark scheme based on directional filter banks and wavelet subband decomposition techniques is proposed. In order to embed the mark into the directional subband images, a projection classification algorithm is presented. These subband images with a particular directional property can prevent unauthorized use attacks.

Progressive image watermarking
2000 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo. ICME2000. Proceedings. Latest Advances in the Fast Changing World of Multimedia (Cat. No.00TH8532), 2002Progressive transmission of images is very useful in many applications, especially in image transmission over the Internet. To view an image, people would want to see part of the image while the image transmission is in progress, rather than having to wait until the end of the image transmission.

In this paper we present a reversible watermarking technique for digital images. In our context, reversibility refers to the ability to restore the original image by the watermark detector. The technique is based on a transformation function that introduces 'gaps' in the image histogram. The 'gaps' are used to encode the watermark.

Geometric Invariance in Image Watermarking
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2004Surviving geometric attacks in image watermarking is considered to be of great importance. In this paper, the watermark is used in an authentication context. Two solutions are being proposed for such a problem. Both geometric and invariant moments are used in the proposed techniques.
