Angioarchitecture of Spinal Dural Arteriovenous Fistula - Evaluation with 3D Rotational Angiography [PDF]

open access: yesNeurointervention, 2012
PurposeThe complex angioarchitecture of spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas (SDAVFs) sometimes preclude angiographic analyses or superselective procedures.

Three-dimensional single-photon imaging through obscurants.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2019
We investigate the depth imaging of objects through various densities of different obscurants (water fog, glycol-based vapor, and incendiary smoke) using a time-correlated single-photon detection system which had an operating wavelength of 1550 nm and an

Three-dimensional images of choanoflagellate loricae [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, 2008
Choanoflagellates are unicellular filter-feeding protozoa distributed universally in aquatic habitats. Cells are ovoid in shape with a single anterior flagellum encircled by a funnel-shaped collar of microvilli. Movement of the flagellum creates water currents from which food particles are entrapped on the outer surface of the collar and ingested by ...

Thermal proteome profiling and proteome analysis using high‐definition mass spectrometry demonstrate modulation of cholesterol biosynthesis by next‐generation galeterone analog VNPP433‐3β in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

An Image Forensic Technique Based on JPEG Ghosts [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
The unprecedented growth in the easy availability of photo-editing tools has endangered the power of digital images. An image was supposed to be worth more than a thousand words, but now this can be said only if it can be authenticated orthe integrity of the image can be proved to be intact. In thispaper, we propose a digital image forensic technique for

Three Dimensional Annihilation Imaging of Antiprotons in a Penning Trap

open access: yes, 2003
We demonstrate three-dimensional annihilation imaging of antiprotons trapped in a Penning trap. Exploiting unusual feature of antiparticles, we investigate a previously unexplored regime in particle transport; the proximity of the trap wall.

A 3D scanner for transparent glass [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Many practical tasks in industry, such as automatic inspection or robot vision, often require the scanning of three-dimensional shapes by use of non-contact techniques.

Elucidating prognostic significance of purine metabolism in colorectal cancer through integrating data from transcriptomic, immunohistochemical, and single‐cell RNA sequencing analysis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.

Simple method for sub-diffraction resolution imaging of cellular structures on standard confocal microscopes by three-photon absorption of quantum dots [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This study describes a simple technique that improves a recently developed 3D sub-diffraction imaging method based on three-photon absorption of commercially available quantum dots.
