Relevance and Potential Applications of C2‐Carboxylated 1,3‐Azoles

Edoxaban and 2‐acetylthiazole were identified as relevant C2‐carboxylated 1,3‐azoles within the chemical space of approved drug and cosmetics. The potential of the C2‐carboxylated 1,3‐azole substructure motif was supported by target prediction as well as an analysis of bioisosteres.
