Organotin(IV) complexes with imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines

Polyhedron, 2014
Abstract The three-components reaction of dimethyltin dibromide with imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine and allyl bromide in ethanol affords an ionic complex, bis(1-allylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridinium) dimethyltetrabromostannate(II). X-ray crystal structure analysis of the complex reveals the tin atom to be hexacoordinated, forming a dianion.

Degradation of cobaloximes to derivatives of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine

Journal of the Chemical Society, Perkin Transactions 1, 1975
Acetic anhydride in pyridine degrades several alkylcobaloximes to 2-[(E)-1-acetoxyiminoethyl]-3-acetylimidazo-[1,2-a]pyridine (5), the structure of which is established by direct X-ray crystallographic analysis of 3-acetyl-2-[(E)-1-hydroxyiminoethyl]imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (6) derived from compound (5) by mild hydrolysis.

Synthesis and antiviral activity of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines

European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1999
Abstract Imidazo[1,2- a ]pyridines bearing a 3-(dithiolan-, dioxolan- or oxathiolan-2-yl) substituent were synthesized from the corresponding aldehydes. The dithiolanyl derivative 6a proved active against cytomegalovirus at an inhibitory concentration (IC 50 ) of 16 μM, whilethe oxathiolanyl compound 6c inhibited respiratory syncytial virus (IC ...

An efficient synthesis of ferrocenyl imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines

Monatshefte für Chemie - Chemical Monthly, 2010
An efficient and simple synthesis of ferrocenyl 3-aminoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridines by the three-component reaction of ferrocenecarboxaldehyde, isocyanides, and 2-aminopyridines in the presence of a catalytic amount of InCl3 in ethanol at room temperature is reported.

Synthesis and antiproliferative activity evaluation of steroidal imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines

Steroids, 2016
An elegant approach to unknown steroidal imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine hybrids is disclosed. Unique derivatives of androstene and estrane series containing imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine motifs were prepared from 17-ethynyl steroids in good yields via copper-catalyzed cascade aminomethylation/cycloisomerization with imines. The synthesized compounds were screened for
