RNA‐related functions of BRCA2 in transcription, replication, and genome stability
Beyond its role in homologous recombination, BRCA2 regulates R‐loop homeostasis, DNA–RNA hybrid resolution, RNA polymerase II dynamics, and transcriptional activation. Disruption of any of these functions can contribute to genome instability, inflammatory signaling, and tumorigenesis. BRCA2 is a central tumor suppressor protein best known for its roles

Keratinocytes from human skin respond as typical immune cells after the stimulation with _Trichophyton rubrum_ [PDF]
_Trichophyton rubrum_ is the main agent causing dermatophytosis (1). Keratinocytes are considered to be the first physical barrier of defense against pathogens (2). But not only a physical barrier.

Idiotypic Immune Networks in Mobile Robot Control [PDF]
Jerne's idiotypic network theory postulates that the immune response involves inter-antibody stimulation and suppression as well as matching to antigens.

Heterodimeric amino acid transporters consist of SLC7 and SLC3 family proteins arranged in a conserved structural organization. They regulate nutrient transport across cell membranes, supporting essential cellular functions. These transporters also contribute to xenobiotic/drug uptake and distribution.

Injectable Micro-Hydrogel for DNA Delivery: A Promising Therapeutic Platform
Utilizing the immune system as a strategy for disease prevention and treatment is promising, especially with dendritic cells (DCs) playing a central role in adaptive immune responses.

A mathematical model of immune activation with a unified self-nonself concept
The adaptive immune system reacts against pathogenic nonself, whereas it normally remains tolerant to self. The initiation of an immune response requires a critical antigen(Ag)-stimulation and a critical number of Ag-specific T cells.

Metastatic niche shaped by host factors influences disseminated cancer cell fate
Metastasis is shaped not only by cancer cells but also by the environments they encounter. This review explores how factors such as aging, diet, the microbiome, lifestyle, and environmental exposures remodel organ‐specific niches in the lung, liver, bone, and brain, influencing where metastatic cells survive, remain dormant, or grow, and ultimately ...

Immune stimulation ups maintenance energy requirements [PDF]
Disease challenges drastically diminish pork production productivity and efficiency and have substantial negative economic impacts on producers. Sick pigs do not perform well; feed intake drops, growth slows and consequently days required to reach market

Neutralization of the PTX3/CD44 axis suppresses TGF‐β1 signaling in kidney fibrosis
This study investigates how the PTX3/CD44 axis promotes kidney fibrosis by activating TGF‐β1 signaling. We demonstrate that the neutralizing antibody WHC‐001 effectively inhibits this pathway, suppressing myofibroblast activation and partial epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT).

"Tolerization" of human T-helper cell clones by chronic exposure to alloantigen [PDF]
Induction of clonal anergy in T-helper (Th) cells may have a role in regulating immune responses. A model system for studying Th cell tolerization at the clonal level in vitro could be useful for investigating the mechanisms involved.
