Production of AFB1 High-Specificity Monoclonal Antibody by Three-Stage Screening Combined with the De-Homologation of Antibodies and the Development of High-Throughput icELISA

open access: yesToxins, 2023
To achieve accurate detection of AFB1 toxin content in agricultural products and avoid false-positive rates in the assays, the specificity of mAbs is critical. We improved the specificity of the prepared monoclonal antibodies by modifying the traditional

Human monoclonal antibodies isolated from a primary pneumococcal conjugate Vaccinee demonstrates the expansion of an antigen-driven Hypermutated memory B cell response

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases, 2018
Background Community-acquired pneumonia is a leading infectious cause of hospitalization. A few vaccines exist to prevent pneumococcal disease in adults, including a pneumococcal polysaccharide unconjugated vaccine and a protein conjugated polysaccharide

Anthracycline-Functionalized Dextran as a New Signal Multiplication Tagging Approach for Immunoassay

open access: yesBiosensors, 2023
The most used kind of immunoassay is enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA); however, enzymes suffer from steric effects, low stability, and high cost.

Immunoassay of Pesticides

open access: yesJournal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 1991
Abstract Determination of the presence and levels of pesticide residues In food Is fundamental In monitoring and regulatory programs. Residues are separated from the food matrix by solvent extraction, followed by cleanup steps. The residues are most often Identified and quantltated by instrumental analysis, usually liquid or gas ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Nanotechnology and Immunoassay

open access: yesClinical Chemistry, 2007
The roots of nanotechnology can be traced back to colloid science in the mid-19th century. Francesco Selmi, often credited with the first true research in the field, studied the behavior of various metallic and acidic emulsions in the 1840s (1). Shortly thereafter, Michael Faraday and Thomas Graham, two scientific pioneers known primarily for their ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Clinical Validation of Plasma p‐217tau in Neurological Diseases

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Plasma p‐217tau is a minimally invasive but specific biomarker for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, its disease specificity remains to be clinically evaluated. We validated the reliability of the p‐217tau biomarker in 12 other neurological diseases.
