A lateral flow assay for the immunodiagnosis of human cat‐transmitted sporotrichosis

open access: yesMycoses, Volume 65, Issue 10, Page 926-934, October 2022., 2022
Abstract Background Cat‐transmitted sporotrichosis (CTS) caused by Sporothrix brasiliensis has emerged as an important zoonosis in Brazil and neighbouring countries. Objectives Evaluate the performance of a lateral flow assay (LFA) for the detection of anti‐Sporothrix antibodies in human sera.

A novel immunodiagnosis panel for hepatocellular carcinoma based on bioinformatics and the autoantibody‐antigen system

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 113, Issue 2, Page 411-422, February 2022., 2022
A support vector machine was used to construct a panel composed of six autoantibodies for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnosis. The panel's ability to identify HCC was 0.826, and its ability to diagnose early HCC and alpha‐fetoprotein (AFP)‐negative HCC was 0.889 and 0.781, respectively.

Identification of candidate antigens from adult stages of Toxocara canis for the serodiagnosis of human toxocariasis

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 2011
In the present work, we identified adult Toxocara canis antigens through sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for potential use in human toxocariasis immunodiagnosis. The sensitivity and specificity of several semi-purified antigens,

Immunodiagnosis of Snake Bite [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ, 1974
Management of a patient with snake bite is influenced by the nature of the offending snake. Species diagnosis based on the patient's history and physical signs is often unreliable and the possibility of making a species diagnosis by immunological means has therefore been investigated.
