Imunodiagnóstico Immunodiagnosis

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 1992
In the last years, the knowledge about immunodiagnosis in schistosomiasis has increased considerably. This was due to a better immunologic understanding of the host-parasite interaction and the evolution of the technical procedures by the introduction of

Development of a one-step probe based molecular assay for rapid immunodiagnosis of infection with M. tuberculosis using dried blood spots. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
BACKGROUND:Antigen specific release of IP-10 is the most promising alternative marker to IFN-γ for infection with M. tuberculosis. Compared to Interferon-γ release assays (IGRA), IP-10 is released in high levels enabling novel approaches such as field ...

A Circadian Trough in Glucocorticoid Signaling Is Essential for Bone Health in Mice

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 4, April 2026.
Flattening the circadian rhythm of endogenous glucocorticoids induces osteoporosis in mice. We demonstrate that reinstating a trough in glucocorticoid receptor signaling stimulates bone formation and suffices to prevent osteoporosis. Reinstating the trough at its natural time of day is needed for full protection.

Features Immunodiagnostic Local Forms of Tuberculosis in Children

open access: yesЭпидемиология и вакцинопрофилактика, 2015
The 100 children with local forms of tuberculosis (LFT) were examinated used by the method of continuous sampling. The results of the LFT immunodiagnostic with the Diaskintest (DST) in the children were evaluated.

Comparison of the Prognostic Value of Three Different Single HLA Based Antibody Detection Assays

open access: yesHLA, Volume 107, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Single antigen (SA) tests are indispensable for an accurate HLA antibody identification in sera of transplant patients. Three commercial tests using purified single antigens combined with microbead or microarray technology are currently available. This study aims to determine the prognostic value of these tests prior to kidney transplantation.

Hybridoma technique and monoclonal antibodies for mariculture applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Ever since the beginnings of experimental immunology at the end of the nineteenth century, scientists have exploited the specificity of antibodies to detect, isolate and analyze biological material.

Expression-Based Genome-Wide Association Study Links Vitamin D-Binding Protein With Autoantigenicity in Type 1 Diabetes. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is caused by autoreactive T cells that recognize pancreatic islet antigens and destroy insulin-producing β-cells. This attack results from a breakdown in tolerance for self-antigens, which is controlled by ectopic antigen expression

Development of a Novel Rapid Immunodiagnostic Kit Based on Flagellar 40 kDa Antigen Epitope for the Detection of Typhoid Fever in Indian Patients

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
To aid the clinical diagnosis of typhoid fever in India, where most hospitals and primary health centres have no facilities for culture, we report on the development of a novel and rapid immunodiagnostic kit for the direct detection of Salmonella Typhi ...

MARPLE: A Proximity‐Triggered CRISPR‐Cas13 Platform for Ultrasensitive Antibody Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
MARPLE is a modular CRISPR‐Cas13 immunoassay that uses antibody‐induced proximity to trigger a toehold‐exchange reaction, releasing an RNA activator for Cas13. This one‐pot, isothermal architecture enables ultrasensitive (femtomolar) and highly specific detection of diverse antibodies, including therapeutic, pathogen‐specific, and cancer‐associated ...

Establishing reference intervals for bone turnover markers in healthy postmenopausal women in a nonfasting state. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In order to interpret bone turnover markers (BTMs), we need to establish healthy reference intervals. It is difficult to establish reference intervals for older women because they commonly suffer from diseases or take medications that affect bone ...
