Differentiation of Pathogenic and Non-Pathogenic Burkholderias Using Rocket Immunoelectrophoresis

open access: diamondПроблемы особо опасных инфекций, 2010
Demostrated is the possibility to differentiate virulent strains of melioidosis and glanders etiological agents from avirulent ones and closely related microorganisms according to the presence of the antigenic complex 8, using rocket ...

Crossed Immunoelectrophoresis and Crossed-line Immunoelectrophoresis of Salmonella dublin Antigens [PDF]

open access: bronzeMicrobiology, 1980
Crossed immunoelectrophoresis and crossed-line immunoelectrophoresis were used to detect 62 antigens in extracts of sonicated Salmonella dublin against an homologous anti-serum. Comparison with six extracts of closely related bacteria showed that all but two of these antigens cross-reacted with at least one other extract.

Immunoelectrophoresis of Blister Fluids

open access: bronzeJournal of Investigative Dermatology, 1962
The technic of immunoelectrophoresis as devised by Grabar and Williams (1, 2) permits the identification of a greater number of serum proteins than any previously known method. We therefore decided to apply this technic to an investigation of the protein content of blister fluids.

Competitive adsorption of plasma proteins at solid—liquid interfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
The competitive adsorption of human serum albumin (HSA), human immuno-γ-globulin (HIgG) and human fibrinogen (HFb) onto polystyrene (PS) at 20° C and a pH of 7.35 (phosphate-buffered saline) was studied.

Ultrathinfilm Immunoelectrophoresis [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical Biochemistry: International Journal of Laboratory Medicine, 1982
Immunoelectrophoresis (Laurell-rocket) in ultrathinfilm gels has been applied to the determination of human serum albumin in a model study. Agarose gels of 0·24 mm thickness were used and optimum electrophoretic conditions were determined. Precision was assessed and comparison with conventional immunoelectrophoresis and a chemical method was made ...

Analysis of high density lipoprotein apolipoproteins by capillary zone and capillary SDS gel electrophoresis

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1998
We describe new methods for analyzing the apolipoproteins (apo) of the high density lipoproteins (HDL) of several species by two modes of capillary electrophoresis: size separation using a molecular sieving buffer, and capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE)

Transport of lysolecithin by albumin in human and rat plasma

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1965
Lysolecithin comprises 9.6 and 21.5% of the phospholipids of the plasma of man and rat, respectively. Ultracentrifugal and gel filtration studies showed that the major portion of the lysolecithin is not found together with the other phospholipids in the ...
