Immunoelectrophoresis with Cellulose Acetate

Nature, 1962
PREVIOUS results with immunoelectrophoresis, using human serum and its equine antiserum, have shown 25 serum constituents1. This communication shows that more than 35 precipitin lines may be obtained with an improved method.

Cleavage of C2 in pathological serum and plasma studied by crossed immunoelectrophoresis.

Acta pathologica, microbiologica, et immunologica Scandinavica. Section C, Immunology, 2009
A cleavage product of C2, C2a was demonstrated by crossed immunoelectrophoresis in serum and EDTA plasma from patients with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), patients in the early phase of acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis (AGN), and ...

The Antigens of Mycobacterium bovis, Strain BCG, Studied by Crossed Immunoelectrophoresis: a Reference System

Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, 1980
A reference system for the soluble antigen of Mycobacterium bovis, strain BCG is described. The system is based on crossed immunoelectrophoresis with intermediate gel.

Brain specific synaptosomal membrane proteins demonstrated by crossed immunoelectrophoresis

Journal of Neurochemistry, 1974
CROSSHI immunoelectrophoresis has been introduced as a method for the investigation of complex antigen mixtures because of its quantitative properties and because of its excellent resolution power (LAURELL, 1965; CLARKE & FREEMAN, 1968; BOCK et al., 1971)

Membrane protein analysis by two-dimensional immunoelectrophoresis.

Science, 1975
Water-soluble membrane proteins may be analyzed by a new, rapid technique that combines electrophoresis on high-resolution sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) polyacrylamide gels and immunoelectrophoresis.

Characterization of human platelet proteins solubilized with Triton X-100 and examined by crossed immunoelectrophoresis. Reference patterns of extracts from whole platelets and isolated membranes.

European Journal of Biochemistry, 1979
Whole human platelets and platelet membranes have been solubilized in 1% Triton X-100, and the solubilized proteins examined by crossed immunoelectrophoresis using rabbit antibodies raised against either whole platelets or isolated membranes.

Characterization of human platelet glycoprotein antigens giving rise to individual immunoprecipitates in crossed-immunoelectrophoresis.

Blood, 1981
Washed human platelets were labeled with 125I by the lactoperoxidase-catalyzed method and solubilized in 1% Triton X-100. The soluble proteins were analyzed by crossed-immunoelectrophoresis in 1% agarose, employing a rabbit antibody raised against whole ...

Direct Immunoelectrophoresis

The Journal of Immunology, 1964
Summary A technique called direct immunoelectrophoresis is described, by which it is possible to visualize the size, shape, position and homogeneity of an entire antigen spot after electrophoresis in agar, by flooding the surface of the agar with antibody.

Immunoelectrophoresis of poliovirus antigens [PDF]

open access: possibleArchiv fr die gesamte Virusforschung, 1971
The electrophoretic migration of the antigens of six poliovirus strains was studied by immunoelectrophoresis in agarose gel at pH 8.2 and pH 7.0. Differences in migration were observed: the H antigens migrated faster than the corresponding N antigens.
