Detection of Biospecific Interaction during the First Dimension Electrophoresis in Crossed Immunoelectrophoresis *

, 1975
Lectins were included in the first dimension gel in crossed immunoelectrophoresis of human serum proteins. Con A resulted in a retardation of most glycoproteins during the first electrophoresis and heterogeneous forms of individual glycoproteins could be

Identification of Rat Urinary Proteins by Zone and Immunoelectrophoresis.∗

Proceedings of the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine. Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine, 1966
Summary Separation and identification of male rat urinary proteins have been accomplished by zone electrophoresis on paper, in dilute agar and starch-gel media and by immunoelectrophoresis.

The Antigens of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, H37Rv, Studied by Crossed Immunoelectrophoresis. Comparison with a Reference System for Mycobacterium bovis, BCG

Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, 1988
On the basis of a previously developed reference system for Mycobacterium bovis, BCG, in crossed immunoelectrophoresis (CIE), antigens of Mycobacterium tuberculosis were identified in an analogous system.

Quantitation of antigens by immunoelectrophoresis

Immunochemistry, 1974
Abstract An immunoelectrophoretic method has been described for the quantitation of 4 or 5 proteins simultaneously. The method is useful for monitoring complex antigen mixtures provided proper antigen standards are employed and the antiserum is of adequate titer. Monospecific antiserum is not required for the quantitative assay.

Differentiation of Arboviruses by Immunoelectrophoresis

The Journal of Immunology, 1967
Summary A simple immunoelectrophoresis (IE) method has been shown to be useful and rapid in the antigenic study of arboviruses. Initial evaluation was made by testing viruses of groups A, B, Tacaribe and vesicular stomatitis in their homologous systems by the complement-fixation, hemagglutination-inhibition and IE methods.

CHARACTERIZATION OF EXTRACT OF DOG HAIR AND DANDRUFF FROM SIX DIFFERENT DOG BREEDS BY QUANTITATIVE IMMUNOELECTROPHORESIS. IDENTIFICATION OF ALLERGENS BY CROSSED RADIOIMMUNOELECTROPHORESIS (CRIE)

Acta allergologica, 1977
An extract of mixed dog hair and dandruff from six different dog breeds (alsatian, boxer, collie, poodle, and long-haired and short-haired dachshund) was obtained by mild extraction, centrifugation, dialysis and freeze-drying.

Starch-Gel Immunoelectrophoresis

The Journal of Immunology, 1959
Summary An immunoelectrophoretic method based upon one-dimensional and two-dimensional zone electrophoresis is described in detail. A discontinuous system of buffers was used in order to increase the resolving power of the starch-gel electrophoresis and to increase the sensitivity of the antigen-antibody reactions in agar gel.

Primer of Immunoelectrophoresis

Archives of Dermatology, 1971
This book provides a brief introduction to the theory and principles of immunoelectrophoresis. A chapter each is provided for identification of major proteins in human serum and some of the more illustrative pathologic sera. The detail given to the specifications of the electrophoresis cell, and preparation of the troughs and wells in the agar seems ...
