Direct Immunofluorescence in Oral Lichen Planus.

open access: yesJournal of clinical and diagnostic research : JCDR, 2015
INTRODUCTION Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a common immune-mediated oral mucosal disease. Diagnosis of OLP depends mainly on both clinical and histopathological features.

Therapeutic applications of a novel humanized monoclonal antibody targeting chemokine receptor CCR9 in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
C–C chemokine receptor type 9 (CCR9) is an immune checkpoint in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Novel anti‐CCR9 antibody SRB2 was evaluated in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy in PDAC cells, patient‐derived organoids, patient‐derived xenografts, and humanized mouse models.

Experimental Investigations: Micromeritic Procedures In Assessing Antinuclear Antibody Patterns In Immunofluorescent Assay

open access: yesFolia Medica, 2014
ЦЕЛЬ: Работа ставит себе целью ввести микрометрическую процедуру (статистический анализ, применя- емый для небольших объектов) в индиректный флюоресцентный анализ в целях получения объективных количественных параметров при анализе локализации ...

Human Dental Pulp Tissue during Orthodontic Tooth Movement: An Immunofluorescence Study

open access: yesJournal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology, 2020
The orthodontic tooth movement is the last step of several biological processes that take place after the application of external forces. During this process, dental pulp tissue is subjected to structural and protein expression modifications in order to ...

BMP antagonist CHRDL2 enhances the cancer stem‐cell phenotype and increases chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Differential Growth Characteristics of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus in Kidney Cells of Human and Bovine Origin

open access: yesViruses, 2020
Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) causes a lethal tick-borne zoonotic disease with severe clinical manifestation in humans but does not produce symptomatic disease in wild or domestic animals. The factors contributing to differential outcomes

Simultaneous inhibition of TRIM24 and TRIM28 sensitises prostate cancer cells to antiandrogen therapy, decreasing VEGF signalling and angiogenesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TRIM24 and TRIM28 are androgen receptor (AR) coregulators which exhibit increased expression with cancer progression. Both TRIM24 and TRIM28 combine to influence the response of castrate‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) cells to AR inhibitors by mediating AR signalling, regulation of MYC and upregulating VEGF to promote angiogenesis. Castrate‐resistant

Blowup of Accidental Images as a Passageway to Discovery: Insights into the Interaction between Hydroxyapatite Nanoparticles and Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Despite decades of research into the interaction between cells and nanoparticles, there is a lack of consensus regarding how specific physicochemical characteristics of the nanoparticles, including chemical composition, crystallinity, size, morphology ...

Direct Immunofluorescence Microscopy

open access: yes, 2015
Direct immunofluorescence plays an important role in the diagnosis of autoimmune blistering diseases. The purpose of direct immunofluorescence microscopy is to detect in vivo antibodies in patient's skin or mucosa. Direct immunofluorescence of pemphigus shows depositions of immunoglobulins and/or complement on the epithelial cell surface of ...

Immunofluorescence analysis and diagnosis of primary ciliary dyskinesia with radial spoke defects

open access: yes, 2015
Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) is a genetically heterogeneous recessive disorder caused by several distinct defects in genes responsible for ciliary beating leading to defective mucociliary clearance often associated with randomization of left/right ...
