IMMUNOGLOBULIN E IN BRONCHIOLITIS

Pediatrics, 1972
Serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) was measured by double antibody radioimmunoassay in 32 children with bronchiolitis and 30 age-matched control subjects. Bronchiolitis in 15 patients (Vermont group) was associated with a respiratory syncytial (RS) virus epidemic. Bronchiolitis occurred sporadically (nonepidemic) in 17 patients from Baltimore.

Immunoglobulin E in Coccidioidomycosis

The Journal of Immunology, 1979
Abstract Serum immunoglobulin (Ig) levels of M, G, A, and E were quantitatively measured in 22 patients with active coccidioidomycosis (Group I), 15 patients in clinical remission (Group II), 15 healthy, coccidioidin (CDN) skin-test positive persons (Group III), and 26 healthy, CDN skin-test negative persons (Group IV).

Dermographia mediated by immunoglobulin E [PDF]

open access: possibleThe American Journal of Medicine, 1973
Abstract We have investigated the component in the serum of two patients with dermographia that sensitized normal skin for a wheal-flare response to scratching. Passively sensitized skin sites were more reactive six to eight hours than 1 hour after injection and sometimes remained sensitized for 10 days.

Bovine immunoglobulin E

Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology, 2009
The recognition of homocytotropic antibodies and their occurrence in response to parasite infection preceded the recognition of IgE as a distinct antibody isotype in the bovine species. Passive cutaneous anaphylaxis was an early reliable and antigen specific method to detect IgE in bovine serum.

Immunoglobulin E and bullous pemphigoid

European Journal of Dermatology, 2018
Clinical features and histological findings in bullous pemphigoid (BP) suggest a Th2-oriented inflammatory reaction, especially in the early stages of the disease. Elevated total serum IgE levels, blood eosinophilia, and elevated serum levels of different soluble inflammatory Th2 response mediators have been described in large cohorts of patients with ...

Canine immunoglobulin E

Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology, 2009
Canine IgE discovery and characterization historically closely paralleled that of human IgE. The reason for this would seem to be the early recognition of the spontaneous manifestation of allergic diseases in dogs that are nearly identical to human allergic diseases.

Immunoglobulin e and allergy [PDF]

open access: possibleLa Ricerca in Clinica e in Laboratorio, 1973
