Dealing with Label Scarcity in Computational Pathology: A Use Case in Prostate Cancer Classification [PDF]
Large amounts of unlabelled data are commonplace for many applications in computational pathology, whereas labelled data is often expensive, both in time and cost, to acquire. We investigate the performance of unsupervised and supervised deep learning methods when few labelled data are available.

Liver‐specific knockout of N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) methyltransferase METTL3 significantly accelerated hepatic tumor initiation under various oncogenic challenges, contrary to the previously reported oncogenic role of METTL3 in liver cancer cell lines or xenograft models. Mechanistically, METTL3 deficiency reduced m6A deposition on Manf transcripts and

Calcium modulating ligand confers risk for Parkinson's disease and impacts lysosomes
Abstract Objective Several genetic loci known to confer risk for Parkinson's disease (PD) function in lysosomal pathways. We systematically screened common variants linked to PD risk by genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) for impact on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) proteins reflecting lysosomal function.

UDP‐glucose dehydrogenase variants cause dystroglycanopathy
Abstract UDP‐glucose dehydrogenase (UGDH) variants have been associated with hypotonia, developmental delay, and epilepsy. We report the first pathologic evidence of dystroglycanopathy in siblings with UGDH variants. Both presented around 6 months with developmental delay and elevated creatinine kinase.

Yi‐Fei‐Jie‐Du‐Tang (YFJDT), a traditional Chinese medicine, has shown potential in lung cancer treatment by targeting key pathways. This study explores the mechanisms of YFJDT using bioinformatics, xenograft models, and A549 cells, demonstrating that YFJDT downregulates HIF1A, promotes ferroptosis, and inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT ...
