Dynamic analysis of a pre-and-post ice impacted blade [PDF]

open access: yes
The dynamic characteristics of an engine blade are evaluated under pre-and-post ice impact conditions using the NASA in-house computer code BLASIM. The ice impacts the leading edge of the blade causing severe local damage.

Does Expired-Larvacides Impacted to Plankton Abundance and Diversity? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The using of chemical insecticides for controlling Aedes aegypti can cause mosquitoes resistant to insecticides. One of the natural insecticides commonly used in controlling Ae. aegypti is Bacillus thuringiensis Israelensis (Bti).

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Internal impacted screw-locking pellet [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
An elongate fastener having an engaging surface engageable with an engaging surface of a fastener's mate includes a hole extending through a portion of the fastener and having a top opening and a bottom floor, a locking pellet disposed near the bottom ...

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

APFIC/FAO Regional Consultative Workshop: Securing sustainable small-scale fisheries: Bringing together responsible fisheries and social development, Windsor Suites Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand 68 October 2010 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In the Global Overview, we attempt to view reefs in terms of the poor who are dependent on reefs for their livelihoods, how the reefs benefit the poor, how changes in the reef have impacted the lives of the poor and how the poor have responded and coped ...

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by
