Efficient impedance model for the estimation of train-induced vibrations in over-track buildings
, 2020Rapid growth and the urban development of Chinese megacity in recent decades have led to land utilization challenges and the need for over-track buildings above metro depots that are part of the subway systems in these cities.

The impedance fault model and design for robust impedance fault testability
1991 IEEE International Conference on Computer-Aided Design Digest of Technical Papers, 2002It is pointed out that advanced submicron CMOS processes result in failure mechanisms that tend to be increasingly analog in nature. They are not adequately covered by stuck-at, stuck-on, or stuck-open models. Furthermore, delay faults, spot defect models, and IDDQ approaches only cover restricted subsets of the dominant failure mechanisms.

The impedance budget for the eRHIC project is discussed at its earlier stage of development. As a first step, with the eRHIC lattice and beam parameters , we use the geometric impedances of the vacuum chamber components simulated for the NSLS-II project.

Mapping the Impedance Spectrum of Montague Model of Skin Impedance
2018 4th International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT), 2018Transdermal drug delivery is a non-invasive method of drug administration. However to achieve this, drug has to pass through the complicated structure of skin. Complex structure of skin can be modeled by electrical equivalent circuit to calculate its impedance which is frequency dependent.

Modeling of respiratory system impedances in dogs
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1987Mechanical impedances between 4 and 64 Hz of the respiratory system in dogs have been reported (A.C. Jackson et al. J. Appl. Physiol. 57: 34–39, 1984) previously by this laboratory. It was observed that resistance (the real part of impedance) decreased slightly with frequency between 4 and 22 Hz then increased considerably with frequency above 22 Hz ...

Impedance modeling of modular multilevel converters
IECON 2015 - 41st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2015The impedance modeling of modular multilevel converters (MMCs) is a prerequisite for applying the impedance-based stability analysis method to an MMC-based high-voltage direct current (MMC-HVDC) transmission system. The objective of this paper is to develop impedance models of a three-phase MMC in order to assess its stability.

Seismic inversion with adaptive edge-preserving smoothing preconditioning on impedance model
Geophysics, 2019Poststack seismic impedance inversion is an effective approach for reservoir prediction. Due to the sensitivity to noise and the oscillation near the bed boundary, Gaussian distribution constrained seismic inversion is unfavorable to delineate the subtle-

Impedance model for estimating train-induced building vibrations
Engineering structures, 2018In recent years, the exploitation of over-track construction in populated Chinese cities has resulted in buildings being subjected to potentially disturbing vibrations from rail lines in metro depots.

Broadband Time-Domain Impedance Models
AIAA Journal, 2001The modeling of a set of impedance values given either experimentally or heuristically for implementation as a time-domain impedance-equivalent boundary condition (TDIBC) is discussed. It is shown that impedance as defined by the reflection of plane harmonic waves when extended for broadband time-domain applications can correspond to mathematically ...

Modelling respiratory impedance in patients with kyphoscoliosis
Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, 2014Abstract When a nonlinear biological system is under analysis, one may employ linear and nonlinear tools. Linear tools such as fractional order lumped impedance models have not been previously employed to characterize difference between healthy volunteers and patients diagnosed with kyphoscoliosis (KS).
