Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.

A Dynamic Impedance Matching Method and Frequency Tracking of Piezoelectric Transducers [PDF]

open access: yesZhengzhou Daxue xuebao. Gongxue ban
Dynamic impedance matching technology can improve the output power and energy conversion efficiency of piezoelectric transducers. Most of the existing dynamic impedance matching method was intelligent numerical optimization algorithm, but the intelligent

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Research on impedance matching method for magnetic resonant coupling wireless power transmission system

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2019
In view of the problem that the input impedance does not match the RF internal resistance and the output power decreases due to the change of transmission distance or load in magnetic resonant coupling wireless power transmission system, an impedance ...

Harmonic Impedance Measurement and Calculation in the EHV Transmission Network

open access: yes, 2002
The results of a measurement campaign regarding the driving point harmonic impedance of one node of the 400 kV Italian transmission network are presented and discussed, using a method suitable for high order harmonics (up to 50th). A model of the network

Iterative impedance analysis method on high integrated impedance network

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2010
An iterative type impedance analysis method for an impedance network is presented. The whole impedance network is divided into several sub-networks and each sub-network is analysed in a form of the linear voltage-current relation. The analysed voltage-current relation is iteratively applied to obtain the whole impedance. An illustrated example is given

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Experimental Safety Study on Soft-tissue Injury in Robotics

open access: yes, 2011
This paper presents a novel human-like learning controller to interact with unknown environments. Strictly derived from the minimization of instability, motion error, and effort, the controller compensates for the disturbance in the environment in ...
