Study of lubricant jet flow phenomena in spur gears: Out of mesh condition [PDF]
The penetration depth onto the tooth flank of a jet of oil at different velocities pointed at the pitch line on the outgoing side of mesh was determined. The analysis determines the impingement depth for both the gear and the pinion.

Loading Mode Dependence of Twin‐Twin Boundary Formation in a Textured Magnesium Alloy
The structures of twin‐twin boundaries formed by interactions between twin variants sharing the same or different zone axes in a deformed magnesium alloy are demonstrated. Lattice distortion around complicated interfaces promotes grain refinement in the subsequent thermomechanical process, enhancing the mechanical performance of magnesium alloys ...

Spray Cooling Heat Transfer above Leidenfrost Temperature
This study considers spray cooling starting at surface temperatures of about 1200 °C and finishing at the Leidenfrost temperature. Cooling is in the film boiling regime.

This work dissects the ultrafast response of polydisperse plasmonic nanorods using two‐dimensional electronic spectroscopy, uniquely combining temporal and spectral resolution. Our ultrabroadband pulses cover both transverse and longitudinal nanorods’ resonances, revealing sub‐200‐fs dynamics and distinct broadening mechanisms.

Recent Advances in Cooling Technology for the Leading Edge of Gas Turbine Blades
As the inlet temperature of the gas turbine exceeds the high temperature limit of the blade materials, efficient leading edge cooling technologies are crucial for the further development of gas turbines.

Experimental Study of Impingement Effusion-Cooled Double-Wall Combustor Liners: Thermal Analysis
A new experimental study is presented for a combustor with a double-wall cooling design. The inner wall at the hot gas side features effusion cooling with 7-7-7 laidback fan-shaped holes, and the outer wall at the cold side features an impingement hole ...

This study presents a novel 4D bioprinting platform for engineering biomimetic musculoskeletal grafts. By tuning the mechanical properties of support baths, we enhance tissue fusion, collagen alignment, and cell differentiation. Using this strategy, we successfully fabricate scaled‐up, anisotropic tissues such as meniscus, articular cartilage, and ...
