Asynchronous and pathological windows of implantation: two causes of recurrent implantation failure† [PDF]
Is endometrial recurrent implantation failure (RIF) only a matter of an asynchronous (displaced) window of implantation (WOI), or could it also be a pathological (disrupted) WOI?Our predictive results demonstrate that both displaced and disrupted WOIs exist and can present independently or together in the same RIF patient.Since 2002, many gene ...

Obesity Affects Endometrial Receptivity by Displacing the Window of Implantation
Reproductive Sciences, 2021Our aim was to determine prospectively whether increased body mass index (BMI) affects endometrial receptivity through displacement of the window of implantation (dWOI) using the endometrial receptivity analysis (ERA), and whether this effect is BMI-dependent. We recruited a population of 170 infertile women with a normal uterus and no clinical history

Glycodelin: A Pane in the Implantation Window
Seminars in Reproductive Medicine, 2000Glycodelin is an endometrial protein with proposed immunomodulatory activity during human embryonic nidation. In this review we describe the effects of ovarian hormones on glycodelin transcription, synthesis, and secretion by human epithelial cells and focus on the importance of glycodelin in implantation.

New Window for Cochlear Implant Insertion
Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 1999Nine patients with profound bilateral hearing loss received a cochlear implant via the middle fossa. Subjects presented with a bilateral radical mastoidectomy cavity, fibroadhesive otitis media, otosclerosis, autoimmune inner ear disease, previous cranial trauma and genetic prelingual deafness. A classic middle fossa approach was adopted.

Effect of cyclooxygenase on “window of implantation” in mouse
Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes and Essential Fatty Acids, 2007The major determinants of uterine receptivity are the ovarian progesterone and estrogen hormones, respectively. Different prostaglandins (PGs) have been elucidated in reproduction and also in this process of implantation in various ways. The blastocyst undergoes implantation on the uterine epithelium in defined hormone prepared period known as ...
