Implicit Motives and Men’s Perceived Constraint in Fatherhood

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2016
Research shows that implicit motives influence social relationships. However, little is known about their role in fatherhood and, particularly, how men experience their paternal role. Therefore, this study examined the association of implicit motives and

Understanding the Burden of Orofacial Involvement and Patient Treatment Preferences in Systemic Sclerosis: Results From a Large International Survey

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Orofacial manifestations are significantly impactful in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) yet remain understudied, with no dedicated clinical guidelines to inform their management. Methods An international online survey comprised38 questions addressing orofacial manifestations of SSc, including patients’ confidence in their treating ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Three-Dimensional Geological Modeling Method Based on Potential Vector Fields

open access: yesApplied Sciences
With the development of 3D geological modeling, implicit modeling methods have gradually gained popularity. However, existing potential field methods cannot directly represent unconformable geological interfaces.

Detailed Voxel-Based Implicit Modeling With Local Boolean Composition of Discrete Level Sets

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Compared with the functionally-based implicit models, the level set models are usually defined by discretely sampling the implicit function values over the volume grid to represent the shapes, which are suitable for scientific computing and engineering ...

On Implicit Modeling for Fitting Purposes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Tracking and modeling people from video sequences has become an increasingly important research topic, with applications including animation, surveillance and sports medicine. In this paper, we propose a model based 3—D approach to recovering both body shape and motion.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Semantic rule-guided three-dimensional reservoir modeling method using an improved multiple-point geostatistics simulation

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
PurposeTo overcome the reliance on manual parameter adjustment and the difficulty in uncertainty quantification of traditional Multiple-Point Geostatistics (MPS) methods, and to address the general lack of geological semantic rule utilization that limits

Implicit Modeling Network of Human Keypoints Based on Attention Mechanism [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng
Human pose estimation necessitates the use of visual cues and anatomical joint relationships to pinpoint key points. Existing Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) methods falter in addressing long-range contextual cues and modeling dependencies among ...

Finger Search in the Implicit Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We address the problem of creating a dictionary with the finger search property in the strict implicit model, where no information is stored between operations, except the array of elements. We show that for any implicit dictionary supporting finger searches in q(t) = Ω(logt) time, the time to move the finger to another element is Ω(q − 1(logn)), where
