Chromaticity and wakefield effect on the transverse motion of longitudinal bunch slices in the Fermilab Tevatron

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2008
The transverse turn-by-turn evolution of a bunch slice after an impulse kick is examined considering chromatic and impedance effects. It is found that by fitting the envelope of the beam slice motion to simulated data the strength of the resistive wall ...

Review of Local Network Impedance Estimation Techniques

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
As a result of increasing variability of network impedance, interest in impedance estimation techniques is growing. This review contextualises local impedance estimation techniques by providing a historical prospective on the uses of these techniques ...

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Empirical Characterization of Cable Effects on a Reference Lightning Impulse Voltage Divider [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The effect of measurement cables on impulse voltage measurement system signal transmission has been widely ignored by the high-voltage community. During the last years, the cable length effects have been reported, but the results have not been fully ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Effect of Enhancement Material on the Performance of Ground Electrodes Under Impulse Conditions

open access: yesIEEE Access
Among the factors that affect the soil resistivity is the chemical content in soil, where the ionic conduction is expectedly increased and the soil resistivity is reduced.

Computing quantities of interest for random domains with second order shape sensitivity analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We consider random perturbations of a given domain. The characteristic amplitude of these perturbations is assumed to be small. We are interested in quantities of interest which depend on the random domain through a boundary value problem.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.
