A joint impulse response function for vector autoregressive models
AbstractMany applications call for measuring the response due to shocks from several variables at once. We introduce a joint impulse response function (jIRF) that is independent of the order of the variables and allows for simultaneous shocks from multiple variables in the VAR, rather than one at a time as in the generalized IRF.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has emerged during the last decade as the main non-invasive technique for the investigation of human brain function. More recently, fMRI was also proposed for functional studies of the human spinal cord, but with controversial results.

An Impulse Response Function for Evaluation of UWB SAR Imaging
Based on analysis of a point target imaged by different synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems, the commonly used impulse response function in SAR Imaging (IRF-SAR)-a two-dimensional (2-D) sinc function-is shown to be inappropriate for ultrawideband-ultrawidebeam (UWB) SAR systems utilizing a large fractional signal bandwidth and a wide antenna ...

A Temporal White Noise Analysis for Extracting the Impulse Response Function of the Human Electroretinogram. [PDF]
Purpose We introduce a method for determining the impulse response function (IRF) of the ERG derived from responses to temporal white noise (TWN) stimuli.

Real-time distortion correction of spiral and echo planar images using the gradient system impulse response function. [PDF]
MRI‐guided interventions demand high frame rate imaging, making fast imaging techniques such as spiral imaging and echo planar imaging (EPI) appealing. In this study, we implemented a real‐time distortion correction framework to enable the use of these ...

Volatility Transmissions in Precious Metals Using Volatility Impulse Response Function Approach [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate volatility transmition between four precious metal (gold, silver, platinum, palladium) using a multivariate GARCH model. We also investigate effect of shocks on precious metals using volatility impulse response function. The
